Dance Dance Revolution:
Since I am much too interesting of a person to just work out on ANY of the exercise equipment I have at home...stationary bike, giselle, rebounder, ;)
I have invested in a form of my favorite exercise d/d/r. It has a built in timer...in the exercise mode..and it basically encourages you along the way...PLUS..I feel like I'm playing a game because if I hit the arrows right..so it's intellectually stimulating too... I have disney version, extreme version, and NOW dance dance factory..where I get to use my own music... so there is no reason why I can not committ to do doing this in the little increments of 15 minutes recommended in my prevention magazine... well, I got to run now and get my boy...feel free to comment on my crazy exercise method!!! AND tell me to do it, and ask if I did it today! Please! I need accountabilty! |

Okay, with that out of the way... I love that game, it is so much fun. I've done the exercise mode a few times, but it's hard to do it as a regular routine because there's an apartment below mine. But way to go! Dance your booty off! (Literally!) |
My brother played the Workout Mode on DDRMAX2 for like hours...it was the equivalent of swimming 5 miles. He was really exhausted and he's an athlete. That game is so much fun. :)
DDR is my workout routine right now since I don't have a gym membership anymore. I love it. It makes me happy :)
Haven't heard of this.....is it a video game?
re:
yes, wigginn it is a video game...it comes with a dance pad or mat...basically has up, down, left, right arrows and middle...the game is like this...there are a couple of songs to choose from...and different modes...so you choose which one you want..when the song plays...arrows scroll up the screen...and you have to move your feet to hit the arrows in the right timing...I love to do it..and I do it double time if the song is really slow on beginner..it keeps me on beat...you are really sweating after a good 15 minutes.
Cool! Hey fellow DDR fans! I know it is sooo much fun..I didn't get to do it yet, but I am changing clothes...and getting ready to get it out...
Yay! I did it..40 min of d/d/r with my son...both of us were sweating..lol...felt good. well goodnight..talk to you all in the morning!
I have a DDR for the Wii it is something I have been thinking of adding in to my workouts. I think I will do that tomorrow.
cool, I converted somebody...yeah ddr is FUN....
heh I have ddr for wii too & I love it.. I have no motivation at all for any other exercise.. so happy I invested in it ;) I try to do 30 min twice a day
yep...that is about the same for me...actually...I make my increments even smaller...say 10 to 15 min..at least I did it! I need to find a way to make the mats less cumbersome....
wowee...my son and I played ddr for 40 min yesterday...we accidentally set it on too high a couple of times...and we were lobo...
it was soo much fun...but then i was soooooo sore! the scale jumped 1.2 lbs down though...so VERY HAPPY... WHERE are my fellow ddr people? |
Omg I want to try this! It sounds like a lot of fun
all you need is a game console that supports it..x-box, ps2 or ps3, wii. We have a ps2...that's what my platform is...
butterlygirl I recommend it..it is fun... |
