anyone using the Wii fit?

  • I got a wii fit for xmas the first month i lost 20 pounds, then fell off the wagon hard. So starting last week i have been using that for at least my weigh ins. So i decided to ramp it up a bit and do 30 mins per day on it. any one else having any luck or am i alone?
  • Hi Mcousins2009, welcome. I have a wii fit but have never used it. My sons keep asking me to play/workout but I have yet to do it. Any advice on what works best on it. Thanks
  • I got Wii Fit for my birthday in May and have used it nearly every day since. It's done wonders for both my consistency and duration of exercise. I used Wii Fit Plus for about 7 weeks. I met my goal for exercise minutes in June (1600!) and bought the Walk It Out game as a reward. I've been going great guns on my new game every day this month.
  • Is walk it out on wii also? Thanks
  • I am not using Wii Fit, but I have been playing Wii Tennis for an hour a day the past few days. I enjoy it so much that I plan to do it in addition to Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. There is a Wii Racket on Amazon that tells you how fast (MPH) your swings are and how many calories are burned. It's a lot of fun!
  • I use the wii fit plus. I like it except for the scale that says "uh-oh" everytime you step on it. I recommend starting with the hula hoop, basic step aerobics, and the boxing to start out. Once you get yourself up to at least 30 mins per day and need more of a challenge try either the free run or obstacle course. Right now i am at work but when I get home I will post my wii console number and maybe we can all motivate each other on there. I am also hoping to get Dance dance revolution and the biggest loser games for my wii.

lol!!! My mom got the Wii Fit 2 Christmas's ago I think, and we would always laugh at the uh-oh!
  • Uh-oh! Lol
That dang little computerized voice makes me want to kick that darn balance board everytime LOL Oh and the way it happily chimes in to remind you "THAT'S OBESE!" That is always thrilling. I actually did 15 minutes of the Fit Plus today(hula hoop about 400 something rotations GO ME!) The balance game where you have to get the marbles in the holes to level 6) The Penguin game (I did terribly in only like 60 or so points)and finally the bird game where you have to flap your wings and look like an utter idiot but have fun doing it!

I could have gone longer but I really want to start small and work up to more since I don't want to kill myself. Plus my feet and hips were positively burning after all that. My boyfriend likes to challenge me and it really gets me going, but I know in the end I won't beat him (he's almost a foot taller than I am and about 100 lbs less than I am)he's too fit for me, but he's being supportive in all this so I can't complain other than he's eaten like 4 meals so far and I've barely had 2, but he won't gain a smidge of weight. Hes blessed with high metabolism and I have the metabolism of a CORPSE!
  • I actually lost my first 10 pounds with Wii Fit but I branched out from using Wii Fit specifically to using EA Active. It's a better workout by far and you can burn a lot more calories with it. I definitely feel like I've worked out after using it. The Wii Fit is like an easy day workout while EA Active is a moderate workout.
  • I use wii fit plus, but was thinking of getting biggest loser game, and maybe my fitness coach, My biggest problem is pushing myself to get on that board LOL, And VicSin, I totally feel you about the that's obese chime that is annoying and hilarious all in one Lol, I should try to stick to doing it more often but it's just hard to have the will to get on the darn thing.

  • love2b150, Walk It Out is for the Wii. There's a video on the Amazon page that shows what it's like:
