What's On Your Ipod?

What are you listening to? What motivates you to keep going? I need some new tunes. :D

I have some very odd musical tastes, but...

The soundtrack to Spring Awakening (it's a rock musical written by Duncan Sheik, won many Tonys a few years back)

A bunch of old-school rap/hip-hop from when I was in high school (California Love, Apache, Regulate)

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes "Are a Drag" - an entire album of punk covers of showtunes.

A lot of Jason Mraz

A big eclectic mix of currently popular music, from Britney Spears and Rihanna all the way to The Killers, Katy Perry, and many others.

Also I have:
Jillian Michaels Radio Show podcasts
The Nutrition Diva podcasts

Britney has been my most listened to this week. She's got good beats for keeping the pace up!!

Hard rock and groovie tunes motivate me. I have multiple ipods and married a musician so I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to music. Vampire Weekend, Stevie Wonder, The Police, The Offspring, Rage against the Machine, Kings of Leon, Scissor Sisters, an amazing playlist I made called "Chicks" that has Madonna, Gwen, Bitter:sweet, Nancy Sinatra, Feist.

I also have somw Britney, as well as:

Benny Benassi (Satisfaction, Illusion)
Lady Gaga (Pokerface has a good beat)
Yves Larock
Black eyed peas
Juliette and the licks
Mindless self indulgence

I'm also looking for new good music!

I go for what I call adolescent angst music: Avril Lavigne, Pink, High School Musical (yea, yea, I know!)....All American Rejects.

My DD has discovered Madonna so I have a ton of her songs too.

Mi iPod has a lot of different things....I might have Van Halen followed by Miley Cyrus (yea, yea, I know!) followed by Adam Ant...

I ran my fastest mile EVER listening to Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend"---yeah I had to play it more than once.

That's on my "Treadmill Mix" playlist. Add in some Joan Jett's "Do you wanna Touch", and Pat Benatar's "Warrior" and you get a good pace.

I also have 100 military cadences (great for running), showtunes (love John Barrowman), oldies, country, more country, AC/DC, Taylor Swift, and Prince.

And there are a couple of songs from HSM, and the theme from The Magnificent Seven.

Ok, this is meant to be a spiritual song, but I also find it motivates me.
