Measuring Fat Percentage.
WHat is the most accurate way to measuer my percentage of fat?
I had trouble using the caliper technique and want to be able to track my muscle to fat ratio so that I can make sure that when I lose weight it is fat and not muscle. Any Ideas? |
Getting dunked :) I am lucky that there is a place near me that does this, so I go every few months. The caliper test for me was off by 7% and NOT in the right direction! When I went to get dunked, the owner told me that he has tested people that the calipers are off by as much as 17%!!
Here is the link to the place I am aware of. They have mobile units all over the place. Might find one near you.. http://www.getdunked.com/home/default.asp Click on locations or View calendar |
Linda, thanks. There's one not too far from me. I'll have to Get Dunked one of these days :)

This place also tests your RMR - Resting Metabolic Rate so you know how many calories you burn at rest instead of relying on the online estimates. I got both done and it was so worth it!
