What are the best shoes to get?

So, I am planning on doing all different kinds of exercise (from pilates to tennis), and my shoes pretty much suck. What kind should I get, or does it even matter? Someone told me New Balance is the way to go. I want to incorporate comfort, stability, and style if possible... any suggestions? Thanks! xoxoxo :carrot: -Ami

I love my Puma's. They are light weight. I'm not a huge fan of Nike. I've had a pair of New Balance, and they felt clunky on me. I have a bad habit of clicking my ankles once in a while while I walk or run, and it can be extremely painful with clunkier shoes on.

Hi Ami!
Well if you don't have a restriction on your budget, i might suggest to go into a running store. The one in my area has shoes for everything from specialized orthopaedic shoes to walking shoes to general cross trainers to shoes for marathon runners and all their employees are athletes that know everything about feet. I've never been steered wrong with them. They were so great. They had me walk to see how my feet hit the ground etc. It was very good, but expensive.

I've like New Balance because they fit me perfectly plus I think they're so comfortable.

I've had New Balance I liked and New Balance that were not comfortable on me. A lot of people choose them because they come in a variety of sizes and styles.

For pilates, you wouldn't need shoes but if you want to do multiple activities, I'd suggest crosstrainers. You might also want to go get fitted at a running store because they would tell you what type of shoes you need. I found out that I have a high arch and I need to support it. It made a world of difference with my shoes.
