Oops! I forgot about this thread. I did 4.25 miles the 11th, 12th, 13th, and yesterday. That brings me up to 51/100.

JenJen - I'm glad you're safe! I'm all the way up in Arkansas, and we had quite a bit of damage from Ike. It must be a real mess down there in Texas.

zinkemomx2, slow is better than NO!!!

cakeses, great to see you back. Lookin' good and workin hard....go you!

jenjen, Stay safe. My thoughts are with you!

MonteCristo, Great job getting your miles in. Glad you remembered us all here!!

My Man Gary, Oh how I have missed you..It sounds like your company is workin you like a dog. Hang in there. I know you'll knock that 4 pounds back real quick. I'm movin a lot less this month myself. I'm on the soccer board, Cub Master, and our 6th grade Sunday School teacher. All those things get there start up right after Labor Day, so I usually cut myself some slack this time of year. My weight is holding but my energy level is sagging and my wine consumption is up. I'm getting a walk in today though. I'm glad you and Angie were able to get your coffee walk in. That had to be good for both your souls. My 13 y/o son is rockin in FB this season. They've had 3 games and he's gotten 2 TDs, a sack, and blocked a punt...he drove down 3 players to get to the kicker..rushing yards and punting yards are racking up too. I haven't gotten to see him play yet though because my 11 y/o daughter is making a big splash on the VB quarts. She aced 5 serves in a row last night. That's as many as the league will allow and then they must rotate servers so they call it a "Super 5." When you factor in that she's only 4'7" and weighs 72 pounds she's quite the little dynamo. (ok, brag fest over) I just had to show why a little less walking is in order. Justified lack of exercise lol Good luck getting the job done and getting back to Angie...Hope all went well at the party and wishing your nephew safety.

Decided it was too nice of a day to wait until this evening's swim team. Took the wee one to the park in our new neighborhood and took the long way to check out the houses - man we live in a nice neighborhood! Someone was really looking out for us when we got this house (we rent).

Will add in my swimming mileage tonight after practice!

9.25/18 walk/run

I thought I'd pop in & give an update.

Thanks for everyone's well-wishes. I was able to get into Galveston today. The mayor called for a "look & leave" which has since been canceled. My apartment is in good shape. No broken windows/no flooding (I live on the 2nd floor). The island is like nothing I've ever seen. It's a mess...no electricity, no water, no gas.

Was able to clean out my fridge & pick up more clothes, so I'll be good for a while.

Thanks again for the well-wishes. It means so much.

Jen I am glad you are ok and your apartment held up. Must have been a relief! I hope they get the area cleaned up soon so you can return.

Hi all, I'm new here but I would like to join in on the challenge even though its late. I think maybe starting off now and easy will be good. So if you don't mind then I will try walking and whatnot.

I ran/walked 4.25 miles yesterday. When I first started the run, I thought I was not going to make even 1/4 miles, but somehow I managed to do the entire 2.5 miles running at 5.1, then I walked 1.75 miles.
