Who has had success with workout DVD's?

  • I'd like to spice things up a little with my workout, and I was thinking of getting some DVD's, but I have no clue what is or isn't good. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
  • i have been using the "rockin' body workout" for 2 months, and i love it! i have seen results, and it is pretty fun. it is from beach body...i highly reccomend it!
  • I use turbo jam, tae bo (billy blanks, not as fun as turbo jam, but effective), and I just got biggest loser cardio max.
  • I like Zumba, many of the 10 Minute Solution series, WATP, Dancing off the Inches, and some of the Prevention ones. I have had excellent results (but take into consideration that I am over 50).
  • I like WATP Walk and Jog when I'm feeling a bit lazy, and The Biggest Loser DVDs (Power Sculpt, and Cardio Max, not the older ones). Sometimes I throw in some belly dance too (I use Temple of Jehan). I also have some Shape Transformation which I like but don't use a ton, and Prevention's Walk Your Way Slim.
  • I've tried tae bo but lost interest in it pretty quickly. I need something that isn't going to become a coaster on my coffee table.
  • I have!

I have a variety of tapes and DVD's, and pop a different one in each day to avoid getting bored. I have plain old floor aerobics, step, strength training, circuit, yoga, and even a belly dancing video!

Some of my favorites are tapes I originally got in the 90's, including a Jane Fonda Step-Aerobics tape that came with a bench, and one with Elle McPherson called "Your Personal Best."

I also have lots of Kathy Smith DVD's, because I like her stuff.

If you go to Collagevideo.com you will be able to browse hundreds (if not thousands) of exercise DVD's. It's easy to find the type you are looking for, and they have snippets of the work-outs you can preview. I've gotten almost all my exercise tapes/DVD's from there. They have a great return policy, too, if you get the DVD and decide you don't like it.
  • All the weight Ive lost it attributed to Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, its all I use.
  • TURBO JAM the 5 rockin body workout and the Turbo Jam Fat Blaster
  • I lost 60 lbs through diet and workout dvd's! I used Walk Away the Pounds, Slim in 6, Yoga Booty Ballet, and Turbo Jam. Out of all of them, my fave is Turbo Jam, although I lost a HUGE amount of weight while doing Slim in Six. That one gets pretty boring though.
