I don't know if this is the correct place to post this question, but I hope to get some info. I workout at a gym and the temp it set a 79 degrees. My sister left a note and told them it was too hot, the next day it was down to 75 degrees. Are there any rules on temp setting for public buildings or for a gym specifically? I get so hot sometimes I get light headed and I am not even working out that hard because it is so hot. Any feedback would be great thanks.
There are rules for gym's and such. I go to the Y, and I know that it get's really hot in there. There were complaints and the manager said that they follow federal regulations on the recommened temp. to keep the room at. Maybe there is someone you can talk with about the heat making you ill when you work out, if not I'd suggest changing gym's, but I think they would all be about the same. Hope it works out for you.
I know just what you mean. For some reason, I get overheated very quickly to the point of getting lightheaded when I try to work out. I haven't been to my gym for almost 3 months. Everyone else is fine; it is just me.
Omg I *HATE* to exercise in the heat. Gimme air conditioning, please (or at least a cool breeze).
I didn't realize there were gym temperature guidelines -- I assumed the gym didn't want to blast the A/C bc they didn't want to pay higher electricity costs...
