Walking Shoes?
 

Hey Y'all,

Just wondering what walking shoes everyone prefers? I've got some new foot pain, dang it! :( I have a very wide foot with high arches and instep. I'm about 60 lbs overweight. Any suggestions for good shoes for walking?

Foot pain may be from heel spurs/plantar fasciatis. Try stretches that extend the heel down farther than usual - like lean against a wall or bench and extend one leg behind far enough heel is up - then press heel to ground slowly. Or put front of one foot on edge of bench seat and lean into it stretching heel down.

As far as shoes, I have preferred the sketchers plain athletic - I have heel spurs and these shoes seem to provide the needed support. Sometimes softer isn't better - more support is.

My DH prefers the New Balance shoes - says his back pain improves with them even.
