Today I woke up and having resolved to run, went out and did it, despite the fact that I was a little reluctant to do so. Eventually, I did end up doing a fair amount of exercise.
Only problem is, my energy was gone for the rest of the day. I made sure to warm up, cool down and stretch, but I still ended up sluggish, out of it, and sore. This was a problem because I also fenced for three hours this afternoon, and I couldn't do it very well because jumping around fast enough to keep up with teenaged boys is hard if you're worn out.
Anyway, my question is: does anyone know of a way I could stop this happening next time? Ideally I'd like to be able both to run and to fence, but today my morning activity made my afternoon fencing relatively useless.
