Washing machine + Pedometer = OOPS!

I accidently left my omron pedometer attached to clothing that was in the washing machine. I ran down, it was already soaked, nothing registering on the screen and water in the screen.
I figured I would have to buy a new one, so why not take it apart and just see if it would dry out and work.
I used eyeglasses tool kit screwdriver, took it all apart, let is dry overnight and IT WORKS!
I'm amazed!

Another random tip to try if it happens to someone else - last year I did the same thing with my work cell phone and pager. I didn't realize it until everything was already halfway through agitation. I took both the cell phone and pager apart and put all the pieces on the rack in my food dehydrator and ran it overnight on the lowest setting. I put it all back together the next morning and voila, they both work - and still do today! I don't see that feature being added to the dehydrator infomercial but....worth a shot! :)
