Default Is anyone using podfitness?

I was wondering if anyone was using this tool for exercising? I got an 8-week free membership through Discovery Health and signed up for it. It seems pretty cool, and I did one of the stationary bike programs. I just wondered what you all think about it?

I liked podfitness when I didn't have to pay for it (my mom got me a 6 month subscription).

There are a lot of routines and it's great to mix up your music with the people training. However, if you stick with any person for a while, it gets incredibly redundant.

Good thing about it was that you could switch to someone else if you get bored with that trainer. I didn't try them in the gym, only for cardio stuff (elliptical, running, etc.).

I don't know, when it clicked over so I was having to pay for it, I didn't like it so much. For cardio machines, I think just taking your ipod with a good playlist is just as handy. Like I said, I didn't try the other features.

So, my point: great when it's free, loved it.

After I saw your post I joined for the free 8 weeks through Discovery Health. I have iTunes downloaded on my computer, but I haven't purchased any music through them. I take it you have to use your own music? I was hoping they would supply music with the workouts.

You use your own music.

When I used it, you couldn't use some things bought through Itunes; you had to use cds and things that you've uploaded onto your computer or downloaded from someplace that wasn't Itunes (eMusic stuff worked fine for me).

Yesterday, I did a cardio routine with Kathy Smith. It was challenging and definitely pushed me more than I would normally push myself. Usually I like to read on the stationary bike (I do it at home), but it's just a moderate workout because I don't push myself. I like how you can switch trainers. I think I will give it a good try while it's free and see how often I use it, it might just be a novelty with me (as so much fitness stuff is!). I did download a weight routine, so we'll see how that goes. Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, as the other poster said, you can't use stuff you download from iTunes due to their copywrite software. I am using stuff from my cd's and stuff I downloaded in (eh hem) other places! It's worth trying for 8 weeks to see if you like it. I'm in the Biggest Loser challenge, and I figure that will take me 1/2 through the challenge...I could use all the tools I can get! I kind of like that you can pick your own music because I like a variety of things to listen to while I am working out...heavy metal, pop, funk, punk...it's a crazy mix!
