Changing things up a bit...
So I run, swim, do weights and use a cross trainer and rower but I still find myself getting bored with my routine at times. I've booked myself into a taster class next wednesday evening (23rd april) for body combat! I've never done this before but to be honest nowadays I don't care if I make a fool out of myself as exercise is supposed to be fun and as long as I try :)
Anyone got any advice before I go/feedback as they've been to body combat before? Any comments most appreciated :D |
I've never taken "body combat" but I've taken karate and jiu-jitsu in the past so I've done sparring/throws/etc. I imagine maybe your class will be more like "street fighting" principles? I think you'll enjoy it. My best advice is to drop your inhibitions (worrying about if you'll look silly trying to throw someone etc.) at the door and just enjoy the whole experience.
I bet you'll have a blast, come back and test us all about it! Good luck! |
I do Body Pump and I love it. Les Mills is the founder for both Boy Combat and Pump, among other classes. If it is anything like Pump, you will get a great workout! Have never taken Body Combat before, but my sister swears by it, too! Good luck and make sure to come back and report how it was. :D
