Was planning a lunchtime workout since I was up later than usual last night & have an evening appointment which means a long day. Was planning to sleep in 'til 6:30 am (would normally awaken between 5:30-6am for gym) when I was awakened early by crazy neighbor (adult daughter of neighbor living with her mother) yelling "OOOWWWEE" and various untintelligible gibberish, punctuated by door slamming (this isn't unusual and previous experience indicates conversations with her, her mother, letters to the co-op board are useless and calling the police only results in a few weeks of quiet). Resisted the urge to kill crazy neighbor. Went to shower, but found there was no hot water.

Dashed out of home & ran like a mad woman to catch the bus since am gym had become a necessity. Seeing as I don't like cold showers & I prefer to go showered to work for both my sake & that of co-workers. Luckily, bus wasn't that crowded so I wasn't sitting too close to anyone for odor purposes. Got in my work out (40 mins cardio) & a nice warm shower at the end of it. Felt better about the world in general and less homicidal

Can I count the run for the bus vs. the usual brisk walk as extra cardio?

Lisa, I'm with you. The other night my neighbor, whom I actually like, was out at midnight running his bulldozer....VVVRROOOOOOOOOOMMMM...BEEPBEEPBEEP... from 11ish to midnight. About the time I went homicidal and was sharpening my axe, he shut it down, and I was able to pass out from exhaustion.

Yesterday:
walked dogs 2 miles, nothing else since it was my normal off day.

Today is jogging and weight lifting. I'll report in later, when I've actually done something besides laundry, work, boy-herding, and housecleaning.

Thanks for the empathy on the neighbor problems, at least I'm not alone in my sleep deprivation! Still a bit short on sleep, but I did awake this am in time for the circuit weights & 40 mins on the arc climber.
