How do you log this?
Yesterday I bought WATP Walk & Firm. And its a great work out with that stretchie band. But its interval training. 5 mins toning 5 heavy cardio for a total of 30 mins. She said you can log extra exercise because of the toning. So how exactly do I log that.

While I don't have that exact Dvd, I do use one of her dvd's where there is walking inaddition to the stretchy band. I log it under "Dancing -> Aerobic, low impact" since it is more than walking. While I'm "just" walking I'm often swinging/punching my arms anyways even though she isn't.

Thats how I log her usual DVDs. But this one is interval training. It has lunges, squats, rows, biceps and a few others with the band. It equals 15 minutes of toning exercises and 15 mins moderate cardio that she said equals 2 miles. But that because of the toning we could add in other exercises as well. I am just unsure how to really log them.

I see what you mean. Without a monitor it's hard to say. There's hardly any difference between the calories burned in a 15 minute low impact aerobic session and a 15 minute sessions of either of these. Since it's such a small number difference I like to error on the low side! I burn approx 83 calories in 15 min with low impact aerobics.

Oh yeah its a great work out. And the cardio bits are a little harder than normal. Some jogging forward and backwards. At the end I felt like I got a much better workout than with a plan 1 or 2 mile workout.
Here is the DVD but I bought mine at Wal-Mart for 9.98: http://www.amazon.com/Leslie-Sansone...9632664&sr=8-1 |
Hello!! Can you log stuff like that on this site or do you use a different site? Sorry about the dumb qustions...

Rain, sites like Fitday, the Daily Plate and Nutridiary all allow you to log food and exercise. It's very handy!!!
(Just don't believe all the calories-burned estimates. They're fairly generous.) |
