Losing weight with a broken leg

So...I have this...obstacle. My broken leg.

I've noticed that ever since this happened my body has become more untone (I would say that I was considerably toned before) and have gained weight. Do any of you out there have any suggestions as to somewhat high intensity workouts that don't require me to be up on my leg. I mean, I can stand on it, just can't bend it due to the immobilizer I'm wearing. No jumping jacks or squats. :p

Thanks!

Hey Ashdressage, :wel3fc:

Sorry about your leg! Rather than try to lose weight, focus on maintaining your weight. You'll need nutrients to heal.

Upper body workouts can help while you're recovering. I'm going to move your post to the Exercise Forum where you may get better information. There will be a redirect from Support, though. :)

Hang in there! Get well soon!

Jay

Yea Ashley I agree with JayEll. Focus on maintaining, it bewilders me what high intensisty workout you can do with an immobilizer. I've been there before, I dislocated my knee and had to wear a full leg immobilizer. Just continue to eat clean and healthy and give your leg some time to heal.
