Exercising without a bra

I never thought I'd bring up this topic but here goes. I am pretty much small on top and have wide hips. Most of my weight is from my waist down unfortunately. I wear a size B cup, when I work out I don't wear a bra. I don't have saggy boobs and feel way more comfortable without one, wearing a bra makes me feel restrained and uncomfortable even if it is a sports bra. Anyone else do the same thing?

Diva 07-04-2007 12:26 PM

LOL! I'm a 44DD, I'd kill myself without one. :p

WindyCityChick 07-04-2007 12:31 PM

Holy smokes! Like Diva, I would never even consider this (34G here) - I don't do anything without a bra!

OMG, no way! My boobs are small since I lost weight--36C, but I'd still never dream of working out without one! Don't they bounce around all over the place, even if they are small?

MissGiggles 07-04-2007 02:51 PM

Na, I work out at the gym. I couldn't. All my under armour shirts are so thin you'd see everything.

I saw one girl do that (she was bigger in that department) at the gym and it just didn't seem right (she was wearing a white shirt)

I'll chime in here, I'm built like you BoopRN. I'm a 40-B. Thank goodness for Bali bras or I'd have none to wear.

I always wear a bra because at the gym, or anywhere really, no matter how small I seem to think my girls are, they bounce and bounce noticeably. Women are all built different so maybe yours stay put but mine like to make their presence known if they're not strapped in. So, I wear a bra.

Also, eventually, I would think all that bouncing without support would contribute to sagginess (I'm talking years down the line).

Having been big-breasted all my life, I definitely have to wear a sports bra (sometimes two) when working out.

I echo Diva and the other ladies. Exercising w/o a bra would be a disaster. I tried it once ended up w/ a black eye :D(just kidding but it could happen). When I exercise I always have to restrain "the ladies":dizzy:.

I agree 100% with that comment.... I'm a B and I would never, ever, EVER workout without a bra... No matter what size there is always some amount of bounce... If you look at men jogging even THEY bounce....

I'm an A cup :( I don't even wear bras

nothing bounces when I exercise :dizzy:

Don't get me wrong girls, I don't wear tight clothes to the gym. Usually I'll wear yoga pants and a sweatshirt. There is nothing visible. And Yes , there is some bouncing going on when I work out but its not out of control, they don't bounce anymore than if I was wearing a bra. I'm a 36B and I feel comfortable without one especially when I sweat. Like I said before they're not big enough to sag, I barely have any clevage to show off. *I can only wish I had some to show off*

I have to give my 2 cents. . . i'm a bra wearer. I'll be honest, i use to wear bras to bed! haha! I feel like everybody knows if i don't wear one. I can usually tell when others aren't. Anyway, i'm only a 34B but they bounce. Even when i wear a sports bra they bounce enough to get on my nerves. Usually don't tell it too much until i jog or get on the treadmill. . . then half the time i'm trying to hold them still with my hands while jogging. What a site that is!! I exercise at home thank goodness.

Hey.. if you can get away with it and are comfortable.. let those girls go free I say! :)

As for me.. I need a bra that is more of a feat of engineering than a piece of clothing. I wear one of those vests that have the hooks all down the front and which plaster your breasts to your chest... hard to get on, but ohhhh so good when exercising!

I know I am the wacky one here. I am a 42DDD and do cardio and weights at home and workout without a bra. I know its weird, but they are perfectly happy without the bra even when I am jumping and bouncing around. The only issue I have is when I am laying on my back and the flop over and block my view of the TV occasionally...ok maybe that was TMI. :dizzy:

You guys are too much....( some of you way much more than me!!!!) lets just leave it at that.... thanks for the chuckles... - Suzyq
