Default rowing blisters

Hey all, I have a bit of a weird problem. I love rowing and try to fit in 90 minutes of it a week. However, my hands get pretty blistered after so much rowing from gripping the handle, even if I try to grip it loosely (which doesn't work as well for quick, strong rowing).

Has anyone else had such a problem? I was thinking of putting on my batting gloves while I row (dorky but probably effective), but are there any better or common solutions to this?

Rowing is tough exercise! I'm impressed.

Definitely try gloves. I imagine almost any kind would work so long as they cover the area that blisters, are tight enough not to slip, and let you grip comfortably. Weightlifting gloves could be another option. Do they make gloves specifically for rowing?
