Please HELP!!!
I have been working out three days a week with a personal trainer for two years. They are only half hour sessions. I am also on weight watchers. I have not been motivated to stay on WW since about Halloween. Since I worked out for an entire year before doing WW I thought a change in exercise routine would be a catalyst for the last bit of weight I need to lose. So, I started boot camp at my gym. It is 3x a week for an hour. I wear a heart rate monitor and my heart rate stayed high for the entire hour. The athletic director asked that I decrease my training sessions to two a week in order to not over do it. So I will work out with my trainer on Mondays and Fridays and do the boot camp Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I will do 30 to 45 minutes of cardio. Ok.........now the question. On Monday I burned 1020 calories according to the heart rate monitor (I wear around my rib cage). I consumed about 1200 calories on that same day. Is this healthy????? Where is the fine line between maximum benefit and starvation mode where my body will "eat" the muscle to survive??? I really hope somebody is educated enough to point me in the right general direction. I think this is really going to work for me. I just want to do it right. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Amy
