My exercise routine

  • This is what I'm doing:

    Twice a week I do 30 minutes of cardio, making sure my HR is up, and follow it with about 20 minutes or so of strength training. I do moves I saw in Self magazine.

    One time a week I do 45 minutes of cardio.

    So this makes a total of cardio three times a week and strength training twice a week.

    How does it sound? Any advice?
  • It sounds like a good start, but it depends on your goals. If you have a lot of weight to lose, then you will have to bump it up as you go along. Actually, as you become more conditioned, you will have to bump up the intensity/frequency, as your body will plateau.

    You don't say what you are doing with the weights. If they are light weights, you will have to increase as you improve in order to build strength.
