I just got some new Dumbells!
 
So my local YMCA just got a huge makeover and they have to get rid of all their old items. So, i picked up some 8 pound dumbells for 8 dollars (50 cents a pound)

They are nice, metal ones so i'm pretty excited :carrot:

Well anyways, what are some good workouts i can do with them in my house? Thanks!! :D :strong: :exercise: :lifter:

Get yourself a stepstool, hold the wts. on your shoulders or waist and do *step-ups*, great for the glutes...push through the heel.....I do about 60-70 for each leg every day with 8 lbs.

Bicep curls, chest flys.......triceps....congrats on your find.

What DB exercises were you doing at the Y with the 8s? You can do any of them at home. You might want to consider investing in some other size DBs also so that you have appropriate weights for all your muscle groups. :)

A great site that gives little videos for just about every DB exercise ever invented is Exrx.net. Pick a muscle group and the exercises are grouped by equipement type - just go down the list till you hit Dumbbell.
