Pro Form Ellipticals - cheap? Sturdy? help!

I want to purchase a ProForm elliptical but they are cheaper, and I am worried they wont be very sturdy.

Anyone have success with these? Or bad experiences?

I seen them on HSN for payments of like 5 months @ $85 and I had my biggest weight loss success with an elliptical. Good investment in a proform?

I like the one with red on it, because it has that iFit hookup. I definitley want one with a fan built in.

Heres the one I am especially looking at (you'll have to add in the dots before com as it wouldnt let me post a link)

I have a Healthrider that feels like the ones in the gyms. I purchased it from Sports Authority and paid around $899 for it. Some machines you really need to spend a buck for, especially ellipticals - otherwise it will be squeeking and flimsy after a few uses.

Proform have the wheel at the back, right? I've heard that those are not the best ones to get, and that they can be really uncomfortable. I have a Spirit Esprit EL 455 (approx $1K), and it is even nicer than the ones at my local gym. I agree with fatklr that for something like this you really should spend the extra $$ to get something sturdy.

I have a schwinn elliptical and I really like it. I had a cheaper elliptical and got rid of it because it was so loud. The Schwinn seems to be much quieter and very sturdy.

I've heard good and bad things when it comes to ProForm machines, they are a really great price yet not as great of built as say a NordicTrack or HealthRider which are a little more expensive. I think it depends on the kind of use you're wanting to get out of it. If you are wanting to use it just a couple days a week for 20 mins I am sure it would suffice, but if you are wanting to use it for 5-6 days a week for 30-60mins I think it'd be worth your time and money to go for something a little more expensive.
Personally I have the NordicTrack E 5.7 which I bought just a few months ago and have had amazing luck with it. It was still only $599. I got mine info along with a coupon off a site called EllipticalReviewGuru.com. It was the best thing I did. I'd make sure you do your research, read user and expert reviews on the specific brand and model before buying, and also looking around for coupons. Especially this time of year you can find some great deals and coupons on exercise equipment!
I hope this helps and you find something that fits your needs perfectly! Good luck! :)

We did a lot of research before we purchased our Elliptical. We settled on the Yowza Captiva.

We've been really happy with it. very smooth motion workout. We had some problems with a noisy fly wheel but they sent a tech out quickly to fix the problem.

I tried to post a link but since I have less than 25 posts it wouldn't let me but it's yowzafitness.com

I had a preform and loved it. Had it for five plus years!
Sorry I don't remember what model it was.
