Roast Sticky Chicken
This is a really easy, really tasty recipe.
1 whole chicken (4 pounds) 2 t salt 1 t paprika 1/2 t onion powder 1/2 t dried thyme 1/2 t white pepper 1/4 t cayenne pepper 1/4 t black pepper 1/4 t garlic powder 1 onion, quartered (1). In a small bowl, mix together all ingredients. Remove and disgard giblets from chicken. Rinse chicken cavity and pat dry with a paper towel. Rub chicken inside and out with spice mixture. Place onion into the cavity of chicken. Place chicken in a resealable bag or doule-wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight or at least 4 to 6 hours. (2). Preheat oven to 250 F. (3). Place chicken in roasting pan. Bake uncovered for 5 hours. Let chicken stand for 10 minutes before carving. |
Remember to remove the plastic wrap or bag before roasting! I had a husband once who cooked fish and chips in the cardboard box!

If possible, would you be able to modify the oven temp and time for chicken wings, drumsticks, or breasts? It sounds really good and low fat/low cal.
