Turkey Apple Sausage Patties

    Turkey Apple Sausage Patties

    1 lb. ground turkey
    1/2 red delicious apple, peeled, cored and diced
    1 large garlic clove, minced
    1 tsp. dried sage
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/2 tsp. ground fennel
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    1/8 tsp. ground coriander

    In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients, mixing well. Form 8 patties. On a lightly sprayed nonstick indoor grill pan or skillet, cook the patties over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until they are completely cooked.

    Serves 8, one patty per serving.
