  • Ok, I made this for dinner tonight as it is kind of an old standby that I had forgotten all about. Instead of 1 cup of mayo, I used 1/2 c. olive oil mayo and 1 c. greek yogurt (sour cream would work too). I really couldn't tell the difference in the flavor of the sauce, and it had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay fewer calories and more protein than had it been the full cup of mayo.
  • Delish! Made with 6 chicken breasts instead of 4. Also added a bag of frozen cauliflower too. Used Greek yogurt for the sour cream....then ended up adding about a 1/4 cup of sour cream since I upped the chicken and the veggies. So yummy.
  • I found cutting the mayo and sour cream (I used FF yogurt) is still plenty of liquid. You can always increase the chicken broth. Also, I omitted the cheese because it's so rich already, I didn't miss it at all.

    Great recipe! Thanks.
  • Haven't had this in a really long time. Like a lot of you, I'm going to use FF greek yogurt when I make it next week, and I think I'm going to use less cheese. I think I will use FF greek yogurt plus a few tablespoons of 'buttery' smart balance, to give it a yummy rich flavor.
  • Pre diet I always made this with mayo and cream of broccoli soup. I'm interested to try it with the yogurt and or sour cream.

This is the best chicken divan recipe ever. It would still be good without the breadcrumbs and with a different thickened if needed.
  • Munchy, what would you use in place of the flour for thickening?

You can thicken very easily with chia seeds - just dump about 1T at a time into your dish until it's thickened. If you want to avoid the actual seeds in the dish, you can grind the seeds into powder then add them. It sounds odd, but I promise it has no taste!
