Points+ Grandma's Casserole
Disclaimer- Recipe contains NO grandmas.
(Its more like a mock-lasagna that my grandma would cook for dinner when she babysat us overnight) 1 lb 93% lean raw ground beef 1 small onion chopped 1 cup celery chopped 8oz canned diced tomatoes 8oz canned tomato sauce 12oz part-skim mozzarella shredded 10oz wheat pasta cooked Salt, pepper, garlic powder, celery salt, oregano Cook pasta. Saute ground beef with onion and celery. And whatever seasonings you like, I do pepper, garlic powder, celery salt, and sometimes oregano. Once that is cooked through, mix in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. Mix in pasta. Put beef & pasta mixture in a baking dish. Top evenly with mozzarella. Baked at 350 until cheese starts to turn brown. Once again, no grandmas were harmed in the making of this casserole. 8 servings at 9P+ each. |
Thanks for sharing. I look forward to trying it. I have just started weight watchers (about 3 weeks ago) and I appreciate people who have taken the trouble to calculate the points already.
