Ah. That's the new tactic of the diet pill marketers (along with the pseudo-Viagra marketers, et al) - market their supp like it was an actual prescription drug, when in fact the ingredients are pretty much identical to the cheapo diet pill you can get at any Walgreens! (and it works just as well - or not, however you want to look at it.)

(My husband and I actually enjoy the commercial for Enzyte...you know, the ones with "Bob" and the big fake smile? :lol: Jim thought it was an actual prescription drug - obviously those commercials fool a LOT of people.)

So they put their diet supps in a white bottle that looks just like the ones behind the desk at the pharmacy. Make up some name or other, then have another scientific-sounding name in parens underneath it...OH and don't forget the 'doctors' on the website (at least they look like doctors, they're wearing white coats, stethoscopes, and carrying clipboards - almost kind of reminds me of Jenny Craig counselors, except with stethoscopes). Oh and instead of 'customers' we're all now 'patients'.

I see that the Cenafil people are also doing the "established customer program" that other supps have started doing - you know, you get some sort of 'discount' and in exchange, you give 'em your Visa card number and they automatically ship you their overpriced pills every month. OH AND I LOVE THIS - they have a money back guarantee - just like another pill we recently had a thread on! Almost the same guarantee, word for WORD:

So...like I said in the last thread...you have to buy the stuff for a YEAR at $40 a pop ($480) and KEEP ALL THE EMPTY BOTTLES and the receipts, oh and if they send you an email for an upgrade or what have you, then the guarantee is null. AND - something THEY won't tell you but I will - since you have to take the stuff for 12 months, you lose your Visa card right to do a chargeback through your bank. Some guarantee, huh?

And what's in it...now THERE'S a question that their website does NOT want you to find out (at least not until you actually order).

So far I found this blurb on another website selling the stuff:

Okay - on that Hoodia thing - I'll bet there isn't a SPECK of Hoodia in there. I wrote a thread on Hoodia just a short while ago here on Buyer Beware - you might want to read it before being taken in by the ads claiming their pills include Hoodia.

I would bet money that the rest of what's in Cenafil is the same stuff in 99.9% of the diet pills being sold today....and remember this - Cenafil will be gone within a year, after making a ton of money from people who fall for the advertising and spamming from people who don't exist saying how great it works (that's another ploy by the internet marketers - go to different message boards singing the praises of whatever diet pill they're selling). However, no fear, because they'll just repackage it and sell it under another new catchy name...and probably get the same people buying the stuff.

As Hopper in "A Bug's Life" would say "it's just that circle of life thing". However, that doesn't mean we have to get sucked into it!
