Gut Bacteria Testing
 

Has anyone had this done? I got mine done via Viome... I was disappointed as I didn't think it told me a lot. However, it did tell me I have "high metabolic fitness" -- eventually I found out from Viome that means I am very likely to process sugar well and not have issues with insulin resistance. It has nothing to do with calories.

I am going to have to give them credit, I believe that is right on the money. I have completely normal blood sugar at the age of 48 and my mother had that until the day she passed away at 83. I take after my mother biologically and have her same blood type.

This is important because, as I have found, any diets that rely on hormonal issues such as fasting or low carbing.. are not likely to work for me.
