I tried Visalus..tastes great, but did not work for me. Caused me a great deal of bloating, stomach pain, and I gained 8 pounds. In other words,it didn't work for me, but my friend lost 25 pounds using it. Be prepared to take it the rest of your life if you want to keep the weight off. Just my experience with using it, but others have had success.

Basically, there is no magic there, you could try other, cheaper/better quality meal replacements and it'd work similarly. The ingredients used are pretty low quality which means you'd expect it to be cheaper.

Also, they apparently are an aggressive MLM that every single thread about it gets inundated with people trying to sell it. We are close to blocking the word entirely from the site.

Ugh, I feel like I am throwing away $50.00 for the bag.. she is dropping it off to me today. I will give it a try for these two weeks, see how I feel and go from there. I am going to start it tomorrow as I do not have any frozen fruit here today, and will be shopping for groceries tonight. I am thinking of mixing it with weight watchers meals (low cal) to keep my calories down.

One of my friends had stomach pains and didn't take any weight off in two weeks but I still felt I should try it lol

Good luck! I must admit that it tastes sooo good, and everyone is different. I had a friend lose weight with it. I hope it works for you!

I actually enjoy the shakes as a meal replacement, but it didn’t work for me. I didn’t lose more than a few pounds and I gained the weight back within a couple of days. I still have an occasional shake, but I am not following their plan. Once I am out of shake mix, I won’t get anymore.

My mother did manage to lose weight but after a couple of months she developed a terrible reaction to the shakes – serious GAS! Her stomach was sore and the flatulence was so much that she was embarrassed to go to work.

The shakes are soy based, so if you can’t handle soy, you won’t be able to handle the shakes.
