appetite suppressant

does anyone know of anything to help curb/suppress appetite? I eat a TON of veggies and still find myself having munchies all the time... I eat a lot of fiber too... and protein. So, just curious if anyone has found anything that helps.

Anyone ever try dexatrim? I'm scared of supplements, but would be willing to try... just nervous!

I use to take Nuphedrine and it worked well actually, I never took more than one pill a day and the first few days I could tell I took something, but it's the ony pill I ever liked.

thanks. where can you find it, Walgreens or stores like that? Or do you have to order on line?

I ordered online :)

Nothing but a waste of money. If they worked, wouldn't there be lines at the drugstore to get them?

I tried a lot of different pills, none ever worked except Nuphedrine. I lost 30 lbs but then went through emotional issues and stopped dieting.

Just my personal experience, definitley wasn't a waste of my money.

Thanks for the tip!

I would ask a doctor who has a background in weight loss (not all doctors know much about it, unfortunately). The over-the-counter stuff is NOT regulated by the FDA and can be either a lot of money spent on things you already get from your food, or a lot of money spent on something that may potentially harm your body.

I wouldn't say all appetite suppressants are a waste of money--but it really does depend on the individual. Some people have emotional eating issues, which won't be fixed by a suppressant. Others just react differently to different suppressants, so there's no one thing that works for everyone.

You could also try switching what you're eating around. I used to eat a lot of proteins and vegetables too (was doing low carb) and was ALWAYS hungry to the point where I was almost constantly eating all day. I figured out the low carb type thing really wasn't for me, so I started adding more whole grains and also FATS and started actually feeling full after eating. Just a thought that maybe you don't need these suppressants...

Fiber is an awesome appetite suppressant and many appetite suppressant pills out there are really full of fiber (the hoodia pills are a prime example). You can find various forms of fiber very cheaply as well as eating fiber rich food.

Save your money, skip the pills.

I take zantrax 3 and I love it. It supresses my appetite and really gets me energized. I got it from Walmart.
