Dual Action Cleanse

I know this product is not meant as a diet aid, but I have heard that it helps in eliminating toxins, and the yucky stuff built up in your colon, which in turn helps give you more energy, less bloating, and alot of other benefits. I just bought some and have taken some for the first time today. Has anyone else tried this? And what do you think about it?

I wish I had something positive to say, but unfortunately this has come up a lot in the past and we've looked into it without favorable findings.

According to some of the most reputable medical experts (Katz, Oz, etc) our colons or other body parts don't accumulate a buildup of toxins that can be removed by a detox. They state basically that it's a scam by various supplement manufacturers to sell unnecessary and potentially dangerous products. I've yet to find a hospital, university, or other reputable authority recommend products like that. The ads for them often quote various studies, but it seems that those studies don't really exist. Even testimonials are manufactured. What the real experts tell us is that our bodies are naturally cleansing and do a very good job of it. They recommend drinking 8 glasses of water and consuming at least 25 grams of fiber daily to keep our bowels moving everything out, and nothing is left behind. Occasionally a person will have a medical problem that requires physician assistance, but products like this are not recommended.

This particular product, Dual Action Cleanse, has a bad reputation. You can read more about it at http://www.infomercialwatch.org/repo...alaction.shtml and http://www.infomercialscams.com/scam...action_cleanse

I hope that helps :)

Oh wow, I just read all of the information in the links you provided. Thank goodness, I actually bought this at Sams Club and not online! I am throwing it in the trash, I would rather be out of the money than have any bad side affects or anything else. THank you very much!

Take it back! Don't waste your money! Most places will refund for you. ;)

I guess it just depends on your beliefs. I believe it depends on the product and what is in it. Natures Own is a trusted company of mine. Natural products.

I'm supposed to do it occasionally. I have diverticulitis and will cramp. (like today) Even if I avoid seeds, nuts, corn and anything else that can trigger a flare up, I will have cramping. It doesn't happen often, thank you God. My dr told me to do it for that reason. I haven't done it. I'm finding that a fiber laxative a couple of times a year do it for me.

IA with Suzanne about what the experts have said. I heard Dr. Oz mentioning it on Oprah. He does not like them at all unless it is something a medical doctor has recommended.

I use psyllium fiber every day. It is not exactly pleasant in texture, but I did notice a difference in bloating once I started taking it.
