Does anyone else have PBC
 

I was wondering if anyone else has PBC (primary biliary cirrhosis) or Auto-Immune Hepatitis. I have been diagnosed with each of these conditions. They can both be linked to a genetic tendency and have nothing to do with alcoholic or drug induced cirrhosis. I have been on steroids (prednisone) for 3 yrs. which contributed to a 50 lb. weight gain during that time. I would like to know if anyone here is facing a liver transplant the same as mine. BTW, my mom died of liver failure at age 50 and the hepatologist thinks my diseases were genetic from her.
