Hello everybody... This will be short and not so sweet. I have not felt so good lately. It may just be nerves. We have had some work done here at the house. You know when you start something and then find another problem? Well that is my luck. Now we find after 44 years in this house that termites have said HELLO! This will not be a cheap project. It has made me sick.. The termite salesman was here this a.m. I just hate agressive salesmen. I let the hubby put him off for a few days.. I think they see retirees and start rubbing their hands together.
Back to school Tammy. Hope you have a good year. My daughter has some stinkers too.
Mima..You are so busy! I have enough just doing my own personal let alone crafts to sell at fairs.. IBS is giving me a fit now too..
We have another storm heading to Fl. We are on the west coast so maybe we won't get too much more than rain..I guess it is due this weekend.

What a week! The Cipro about killed me. First my stomach started hurting and then I started coughing up blood. I called the Dr. and told the nurse I thought I'd better stop taking it and she said, well do you want him to call you in something else? I said, I think I'd better let my lungs heal up from what ever has happened to them don't you? And she just said I'll talk to him and see what he says and if he want's you to do anything different I'll call you back. I told her I was still coughing, etc. She never has called me back. I've about stopped coughing up the blood ... just get a speck now and then.

I'm so weak I can barely move. I get up and do a little something and then have to sit down before I pass out. It's been a really rough week. But at least my muscles are healing and not hurting so bad. I laid down in the bed for the first time about 6 a.m. this morning - Have been sitting up since last Thursday night.

Just lost my post!! Poor Meme-feel better. Joanne, after my father died, our house had termites and it wasn't cheap. He used to bring wood home and store it in the cellar!! perhaps you ness to get more than one estimate. I used to have carpenter ants and had to have the house sprayed once a month. We didn't get the cat-waited an hour and she wouldn't go near the trap. I will go one more time. If Auntie didn't worry so much, I wouldn't care. She will not feed her for a couple of days before we go. Frustrating!! My stomcahe is not good. Liquids today. Stay awake in school Tammy. Bye for now Mima

Meme- I hope you ar feeling better soon. I think Dr.s hire the stupid people because they get them cheap. When I was working I talked to some real dummies.
Happy You are luck not to have these pests. Maybe it is too cold? This area has more than it's share.

Good morning, Glad you didn't get the hurricane, Joanne. And glad you are only moving across the hall, Anne. Hey Tammy, it's Sat. We are going to a friend's house to eat tonight, Don't know if I can eat. I ate yogurt for dinner. I think I will double up on stomache ceamp pills. It might be time to go to a specialist. He has the same name as our vet but he is much nicer!! Dog is doing well on the meds. Sleeps a lot. Bye for now. Mima I cleaned my livingroom yesterday and no company was coming!!

Mima, a friend of mine just had problems with her prescription. Must be the week for that. I've seen those bag holders but have never bought one. I stick all of mine in a canvas bag in the pantry. Keep us posted on the cat!! I think it is time for you to go to a specialist.

Joanne, stay calm about all of the problems at the house. Home ownership can be so traumatizing sometimes. I've been keeping an eye on the TV watching the storm. Hope it doesn't cause you too much trouble. My BIL lives in Tampa, so I'm sure we'll be hearing from him about it.

Meme, please take care! Maybe it's time for a different doctor? I feel very fortunate with my doctors and their staffs. All are very knowlegible (that's not spelled right, I don't think) and they are all so helpful.

Anne, I can relate to the packing after moving classrooms!! Of course, now I am all unpacked. Do you have a certain date that you want to be completely moved? It's nice not having to rush to get it done, isn't it?

Thursday morning at school about did me in. We had meetings all morning in the auditorium. I thought after the district meeting, the elementary staff would move somewhere else for theirs. Not. The principal decided to just keep us there. Oh my. My backside was so sore, and it still is. I didn't take a cushion with me.

Yesterday morning's meetings were in the computer lab. Comfy chairs. We are using a new grade book program on-line, so we had our training session. It will be awesome once we get used to it. I'm planning to go to school today to "finish" things up for Monday. I worked on lesson plans for Monday already, but I want to make sure things are organized. I also thought that if I go today, I'll have the copier all to myself and can get things run off for the first few weeks. Not sure where I'll keep everything. I miss all of the storage spaces in my old room!!!! I'm in the original 1926 section of the school now.

Well, I need to get started on the day. It's almost 11:00, and I've done nothing but read the paper, eat breakfast, and post here.

Back to coughing up blood. Went back to the Dr. yesterday morning and he sent me over to the hospital for exrays ... lungs and lower ribs where I have the side pain. My daughter works at the hospital and I've signed a paper where she can get in and see my test results as soon as they are read. She went in to her computer last night and said my lungs were clear and no pleursiy showed up under my ribs so I'm back to square one. I'm supposed to have an ultra sound done on my neck Mon. morning because he said something didn't sound right there. He said he wanted me to see a lung specialist next week but I don't really see the sense in that IF my lungs are clear. Don't know where we'll go from here but I know I'm extreemly tired.

Meme- Do what your Dr. wants and if he doesn't get to the bottom of the problem get another opinion. I may be minor but you should know for sure.
Tammy- We hired a termite company yesterday.. I did not like the first guy. He had a bad attitude and if he had called me hon one more time he would have been out on his butt.The guy we went with did go under the house and check it out to be sure there was no damage.And in the long run it will cost the same.I cant stand know it all I people.I almost booted him out the first 5 min. when I walked in and he was acting really hostile with my hubby because he was asking questions. My attitude calmed him down in a hurry.
Mima- The storm will pass us by. We haven't gotten any rain yet. My hubby thinks maybe tonight. I doubt it. Later...Joanne

Tammy - well, I hope you are pacing yourself. I know I am. I have no choice, as my energy levels are so darn low lately. All those meetings would do me in. I don't know how you concentrate on what the heck they are talking about :lol:

Joanne - what do you mean, the man went UNDER your house. How could he do that? Isn't it cement? I am glad you found somebody to get rid of those little termites for you. Hope the storm doesn't reach you. Be safe.

Even though I am moving across the hall, it seems like a huge endeavour. The only good thing about this, will be that my Fall housecleaning is done :lol:

Of course it's an endeavor, Anne. You have to set up a whole new house. We went to a friend's house for dinner-I only ate meat and potatoes. And I couldn't have dessert because it was made with strawberries. Tammy, rest up today!! Oh Meme, I hope you feel better soon. Of course you can cough up blood from constantly coughing but you got to be sure! When I was in FL , they gave me so many tests. And they came up with nothing but they ruled everything out. I know, I should go to the gastro guy. I just don't want another colonoscopy. I had to go on a liquid diet for one month one time. I also don't want a cholostemy!! That's what my mom had but it was reversible/ Kids coming over today for cake and pizza-I can't eat the pizza. Daughter is upset about boyfriend-he doesn't move very quickly in their relationship. His whole family is after him. They say he's not being fair to her. These guys-he is going to be 31. Any ideas ? Mima

Happy- Homes built back in the 40's in Fl. were built 2-3 feet off the ground. So there is a crawl space there. No air conditioning then. So the air could flow under the house as well as over.We need air/heat these days. We have to deal with the land critters on a constant basis.Newer homes are built different.
Mimi- It sounds like the daughters boyfriend is not ready to commit. She probably should have a good talk with him.

I slept late this morning, skipped church, went in to the room and did a few things, went shopping, and now I am going to take a nap!!!

Sounds like you feel a little better. D and boyfriend did have a short talk. Wasn't promising. He is not good husband material!!! Meme-how much rain are you supposed to get. Those poor people in the Gulf!! Had another bd celebration with all the kids here. Pixxa and cake. Brad got me fish and chips!! It was great. Little Debbie was here. We have to call her that because 2 grandmothers are Debbie. We were at church yesterday and I took her out in the hall because she was restless. And a little boy bit her arm-luckily it didn't break the skin. He was 18 months!!!Mother spanked him . About 10 minutes before she had said that she was going to marry him when he grew up. She says she will marry anyone!!! Back to the tv to watch the storm. Mima Aren't you glad you are in Canada, Anne?

Mima - ALWAYS glad that I was blessed enough to live in Canada. It is the most beautiful country in the world (in my opinion :lol: ) Not too much severe weather here. Once in awhile a Tornado passes through, but most hit in unpopulated areas, out in the country. An occassional barn or silo gets removed. We have cold winters, which are invigorating and hot summers, which I could do without. I like FALL! Cool mornings and evenings and long, warm afternoons.

These fellows will make a committment, but I think men have changed. As long as they can live together without marriage, why bother?? So many have lived through divorces or their parents and they feel that commonlaw is the way to go. I hope things work out for them, Mima.

Joanne - Oh, I see. I just wondered how somebody could get under your house :lol: I have NEVER seen that before, so wouldn't have even thought that. I hope you will be safe from this Hurricane.

Tammy - hope you caught up on some rest. It is hard to not feel well and have to go to work. How long before you retire?
