severe pain
 

hi

for about the past week or so i have been having these severe stabbing pains in my upper right side of my abdomen near my shoulder blade. they raidate towards my ribcage, it gets worse after meals and i feel nautious. does anyone know what this could be?

Yup. Gallbladder. See your doctor. In the meantime cut out rich fatty foods. that will keep the pain at bay.

From what I've seen, alot of gallbladder pain is not by your shoulder blade - it tends to be lower down to the right side. However, that does not mean it can't be gallbladder.

I would be more inclined to think of pulled muscles. In some cases, some people have cardiac pain that can be described this way (don't panic!). Pain also can make people feel nauseated, as can cardiac pain and gallbladder pain. If the pain continues, worsens or something new develops, I would consider getting checked out by an MD, IMHO.
