I'm going through a hunger phase!!!!!!!!! Cleaned yesterday so I am tired today....I put some Christmas away but still have tons of snowmen out and outside stuff..too wet and messy to be out thee right now. What a weird winter this is...everywhere is having some kind of weird weather it seems. Still having pelvic pain so hard to sit here......Mima..they thought I had a stone too but just this fibro realted stuff......I guess..they do not seem to want to help me any. It helps to lay on my back and put my feet up though.

Coat sounds nice meme..I hate coats so do not like to spend much on them....have an old londan fog (size 10)I got back into when I lost weight. Need a new one one but can't find any that are comfy enough to buy..don't like tight coats at all! I have an old red size 20 coat that I wore for years and loved! I wear Dh's coats around here..mens coats have room!

Mima 01-12-2005 06:59 AM

You are too funny Candice. Great news-insurance pays for all the tests 100%. Now we only have to pay 20% to docs after the copay. I thought we were going to have to go home. Brad has an appt with gastro doc tomorrow. All my blood work came back good-thyroid is normal-so doc was going to dismiss everything. So I asked him about the blood in the urine so he is going to do another sample and see if I need the UVP or whatever it is. Then maybe I can chalk it up to IBS or Fibro. Blood in the urine can mean many things, but bladder cancer is one. Then again, smoking has something to do with that. I had an aunt who died from that but she was a smoker and drinker. So I will do another urine test-no blood, I will be ok. But I am thrilled about the insurance, SIL was here yesterday-we went out to eat. Church tonight-turkey dinner for $5 , then I think we are going to a class. Buy a coat, Candice. You desreve it-try the petite section. Did you move the buttons Meme. Boy, I wouldn't think Tenn had such mean weather-just like in MA and a lot of places. Mima

Hi All. Hope you are all doing ok today.

Mima - glad that your insurance is working for you and that your tests are covered. They could get pretty expensive, otherwise.

Meme - a new coat, eh! I am like Candice, can't stand tight. As long as you are comfortable in it, then it is fine.

Candice - can't the Dr. tell you what is causing this pelvic pain? That is silly to have that all the time. Has to be caused from something.

I ended up in the ER on Thursday night and got home from the hospital on Tuesday. Atrial Fibrillation is what the trouble was. My heart just wouldn't slow down, and to tell you the truth, I sure thought I was having a heart attack! Thank God, it wasn't. They changed my meds and kept me in to monitor the heart while they did so. Just feeling tired today, but that is because of no sleep. Who can sleep in the hospital!!!

Well, everyone take care and enjoy your day.

Good Afternoon Ladie well I thought I was the only one who liked coats that were comfy instead of the right sizelike you Candace wear hubby one jacket all the time and wear a extra large coat when going to work which I could wear a 12 but would have to move the buttons around Mima glasd your insurance is going to take care most of the things I bet that made your day!!!!!!!!!!!!!well Ladies have a good one Candiace hope you are starting to feel some better by now Rita

I used to be the same way ... wore all my clothes big. Until I lost all this weight. I have now officially lost a total of 40 pounds. Now I want to wear my clothes to fit me. I don't like them to hang on me anymore. They just don't look right. My husband goes around calling me baggy pants, etc., if my clothes are too big ... he evidently doesn't like it either! ;) Now, when I'm home (alone) I like to be more comfortable and wear my bigger size clothes (that's when he calls me baggy). And when I go out to sell a trailer or with the dog or something, I usually wear my old, larger coats. But, the new, red coat is for church. I'm moving the buttons, but I've lost another pound so I may have to move them back shortly. (Down to 148) :dizzy:

Hey There

.Mima- Insurance problems are no fun.. It a shame that they don't cover in all states the same..Our insurance will not cover if we are out of the state for more than 3 months..Glad you got yours worked out..
Happy- You too have had a time of it..Get well soon..
Meme- I have been wearing pretty much the same size because I don't like tight cloths. I have begun to notice that things are sorta hanging on me..I have started buying a size smaller..I still like my baggy clothes.
Tammy- I do much better exercising alone.. I found that I can't walk and talk.. I get short winded too easy..I take my C D player and that is great company for me..I use it on the T/M too. I only walked 1 1/2 mile today.. I worked in the yard pulling weeds awhile . I decided I had had my share of activity for the day.. My knees were talking to me.
Candice-I was having awful pelvic pain when they found masses on my ovaries..I have IBS so I just thought it was that. It might have been . I guess I will never really know.. As I get older I find more things to complain about all the time..I will always fight the aging process..I think I am as old as I let myself feel..
RAR- Keep up the good work.. People used to tell me.. There is a star in heaven for you...I worked in a nursing home for 16 years before I retired..I was a day shift charge nurse.. No fun..
Hello to All..Joanne

That sounds good to me. Well. I still have blood in my urine so they are going to do a ct scan-anyone have one. I hated the MRI I had=hope this isn't as bad. I will call today. Great that I found out about the insurance. Brad is going to gastro guy today. We will see if he needs an endoscopy.
On the good side, we met some really fun couples at church last night.

-saw them the week before also. They are in a Sunday School class together which we will go to next Sun. I also mey a nice lady at my church's thrift store who lives near us in this park. Invited me to stop by. When you are in FL, everybody is from somewhere else and very friendly .Last year, we met the people in the park but I like to meet church people. We have a lot in common.
The weather is still beautiful. I started my curtains yesterday and they were way to full so I jhave yo make an adjustment. Good thing I put one together first. Mow I have a whole bunch of extra material so I may make a tablecloth. It's sage green and white check. I love checks. I will have to piece it together because I cut out all the pieces for the curtains. It goes great with my new dishes.
Cassidy woke us up 3 times last night. Now he's outside and Brad is sleeping on the couch. When we got home last night, he was outside because the door wasn't latched. He loves to be outside at home. I hope he didn't get in trouble!!!
Bye for now, Mima Please reply abput the CT scan.

Hey There

Mima- I had a C/s when they found the mass on my ovaries.. They put an I/V in my arm to inject the dye.. Nothing to it as far as I could see. I did close my eyes when they rolled me in the unit.. Everything is explained so you will be OK.
Tops tonight. I am sitting on 144 this a.m. I would like to be less..
Hello Everybody..Joanne

Happy Canuk 01-13-2005 10:53 AM

Mima, I had a CTscan on my lower back. You just lay on the table and they bring this piece over the area they are going to x-ray. Nothing to it. Hope they find out what is causing this and then treat it so you can get better.

Mima 01-14-2005 06:13 AM

Thanks guys. I called and asked about it and she said it's like a doughnut. I don't have to take barium. Brad went to the gastro guy and he's having an endoscopy and colonoscopy on Monday. Doc thinks it's from the Naprocen. Doc asked him for advice on airconditioning his computer room. Too funny. Don't you think Brad should charge him for the consult-you get paid for what you know. Is this ever going to be over!! Back to Walmart last night-bought some shoes-3 pair-one is going back. Brad did too. And an ironing board.Only have one curtain left to make. And am going to make some kind of tablecloth with leftovers. A diversion. It's raining today-we sure need it. And boy is it muggy!! Hey move over Candice. I am very nervous about driving down here. Brad does most of it-I only venture out on short trips-not on main roads. And Brad has to go for that test Monday and he's going to be knocked out. Course, brother is down here. WE'll see. Anxiety!!! Bye for now Mima

MemeToo 01-14-2005 01:51 PM

Naprocin is bad news for the stomach - Dr. gave it to me but I can't take it - have to take it in coated Aleve because the other hurts my stomach ... and now they are saying it causes heart problems as well. Same thing as Aleve, Anaprox & Naproxen.

A recent Government study showed that the painkiller Naproxen, sold as Aleve, can cause an increased risk of heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems. The FDA said patients taking naproxen, which is also sold generically should not exceed the recommended dose and should not take it for more than 10 days unless directed by their doctor.

The researchers noticed a 50 percent increased risk of cardiovascular events in naproxen patients. In all, 70 patients in the trial experienced heart attacks or strokes, out of a total of 2,500 people. There were about 23 deaths.

Naproxen has been on the market as a prescription drug since 1976 and as a lower-dose, over-the-counter drug (Aleve) since 1994.

Mima 01-15-2005 05:18 AM

I read that Meme. Doc wants to perhaps keep him on it but take Prevacid which , by the way, insurance does not cover. Need a new script for generic. Not sure I like Walmart pharmacy. Dropped off script for Brad's pills for colon.....but they didn't have them and never called us. Couldn/t give the script back-had to find pills a CVS and wait til today for them to call Walmart. At least they can do that. I had my CT scan-no dye. It was easy. Didn't hear from doc yet.
I finished my curtains yesterday and then stenciled the bathroom-looks nice. Going to a whole house sale this am-need decorations.Hope I find some.Have a good weekend all!!!It's cooler here. Feels Good. Mima

Tammy 01-15-2005 09:12 AM

Mima, why on earth didn't the pharmacy call you? I get my prescriptions filled at Wal-mart all the time. They've been wonderful. Tell them I said to get their acts together down there!!
Good luck on finding things for your house!

I'm not planning on doing much today. (What else is new?) Clean sheets on the beds is on my agenda. Also a nap. lol
