I am looking for group that understands the difficulty of losing with hypo thyroid, but will hold accountable all who want to participate.
I have been hypo thyroid for 10 years, that I know of. Jan. 1, 2005 I quit smoking and gained 20 lbs. Since then I have struggled, and see sawed to lose this weight to no avail. I think a lot of it is because I want some one to give me an easy answer. I know my meds are good, which is what I use to hide behind. Now, I need to eat right and exercise. I search here because I know it is more difficult with the hypo, and it gets frustrating when you watch the successes of others who do not deal with this. It seems their bodies are more efficient with what is put in and we work twice as hard for the same results. Knowing this I want to work with people on the same scale as myself. To be supportive, and honest to hold accountable. I found this from another group and liked the idea:
Mon.- for support and motivational tips
Tues.- Sharing why we want to lose, reasons to stay on track
Wed- Share recipes and what we've been eating and what we might change
Thurs - Exercise information, what have we done, what do we plan to do
Fri.- General conversation about where we are, how we got here
Sat - What worked this week, what should we change
Sun - Weigh in rejoice, support, motivate..move on.
