Hey There

Candice- I can't imagine shopping in the middle of the night!!!!!!!!!And 4 hours in the grocery store!!!!I thought 45 minutes was a long time.. But it sounds like you got some good shoes.
Happy is that snow I see in your pictures?Or just floating ice?
I am still sneezing ,coughing etc.
We got a good rain today and more is predicted for tomorrow. Some people don't like it but I do..
Hello everybody...Joanne

Happy Canuk 07-17-2004 07:36 PM

Joanne, it's ice from the hail that is floating there.

I hope you soon will feel better.

Good morning. Cannot install my new virus program fully. I will call McAfee tomorrow, My son is in MA-talked to Alison last night-Evan cried on the plane but not all the time. We will see them this afternoon. It's supposed to pour tonight and tomorrow am and I am doing my program tomorrow morning for the kids camp-it's outside. I showed the condo yesterday even though the paper put the ad in the wrong place-the guy drove me nuts-he asked so many questions and couldn't understand my answers, found everything wrong with the condo and then offered a low price-Maybe we should have taken the other offer-it would be over. I hope that couple doesn't call back. And I hope that nice young couple does call back. Oh well-I can hold Evan today. What else matters. Mima

Just saw the other posts-shoes!!!!My favorite!!!

Candicej 07-18-2004 06:28 AM

Happy those pictures are unbelievable! I do everything at night, can't stand crowds and noise......but I did not get to bed untill 2pm and only slept 'till 6pm so I am very tired! Hope your back gets better, that's a pain!

Mima..did you get that pedometer yet? I found another old one I had so I have 3 now!

Joanne..I like the rain too gives me a break from the outside work and easier for me to sleep in the daytime with now sun out;)

DS will be here next weekend just for overnight and then back to school...so gotta get some cleaning done on my own. Want to try a new pickle recipe but cukes are not doing so well this year, the garden has been beaten down with the winds here.

Wish I had pictures of that f4 toranado here, it was hudge! maybe I can go and check the local news site and find something?

Happy Canuk 07-18-2004 04:17 PM

Candice - 4 hrs. getting groceries. Don't you usually buy the same kinds of things? I would think by now you know how much of what is in whatever you are buying. I couldn't even start to think at that hour of the night, never mind walk and stand for 4 hours straight. That would darn near kill me. I know the stores must be pretty empty by then, and I guess if you have a problem with crowds then that is the time to do stuff. I also can't sleep in the day.

Joanne - hope your cold has left you by now.

Meme - haven't heard much from you. Did you sit down and not get back up again

Mima - today is the day isn't it! You get to hold that precious new baby. enjoy.

Anagram - hope you and hubby are doing well.

Not much to add here. Went to the Farmer's Market yesterday and got fresh veggies and fruit. They just taste sooooo good.

Candice - I walked 7000 steps on Friday and 6000+ yesterday. Now I have to start walking!!!

I bought a Pedometer and it doesn't seem to work; then I got one out of Special K and it works fine.

Mima 07-19-2004 06:38 AM

Well, I got to hold Evan a lot yesterday. He's a little fussy still-but he's a sweetie. It's raining and I am going to that day camp. But that will be done at 1:30 and I will have the rest of the week. The driveway guy took some of his equipment away. Brad called and told him we were having company and a big party. So far 22 people coming but I haven't heard from the others yet. When people ask what they can bring, I immediately accept. Men don't ask. We had a cookout yesterday at DIL's fathr's. and I brought a cake and we sang Happy Birthday to Brad. We will go out tomorrow night. Still have to get my computer fixed-I know someone sent another virus-I am not protected-but I didn't open it. Make sure your virus spoftware is up to date. This is the second time in 4 months I have had problems and it's really because my virus protection was not up to date. Happy Monday Mima

Mima 07-19-2004 06:41 AM

Pedometer story-I got my talking pedometer and Brad was sleeping on the couch and the rooster crowed at 2:30 in the morning!!!Can't clip it on-it's too tight-will try again this am.

Mima..I have my rooster crow at 9:pm to remind me to take my night time meds! We should all keep track of our steps daily to see how active we are...this has really clued me in on just how inacitve I am on bad days.............I use to walk and extra 2 miles a day but my hips are too bad for that now.

Happy....yes I do by the same stuff but always on the lookout for new and low pts products and I shop a differnet store each time and they are always moving stuff around and I can't find what I want. I don't get to the store that often either so I buy alot at one time.....Most of the time my night time is my alert time..if I get daytime sleep that is..........yesterday I woke up at 10 am with a spliting headache.......rested some more and then yardwrok and some cleaning and laundy in now. I'm at 9000 steps right now but the night is still young:D

Mima 07-20-2004 06:44 AM

I don't know if that pedometer works right. I'll put it on today, It seems to count steps when I am sitting still. I thought I fixed my computer-chatted with McAfee twice- but I did a scan and it said my computer wasn't protected. I did a scan and there are no viruses. The saga continues. Brad's birthday today-he is 63 years young- we are going out tonight. My IBS is awful-bloating and pain. So much stress. But I had fun with the kids yesterday. We were talking about what wasn't around when I was young, like the tv-and so on. And the guy is finishing up our driveway. Bye for now, MIma

MemeToo 07-20-2004 02:13 PM

Yeah, right ... like I could ever sit down and not get back up ... to do that I'd have to die or something! :faint:

I've read through all the posts and had a few good laughs ... but the pictures were awesome. I want a pedometer like Mimas ... especially if it will count my steps while I'm sitting down!!! Now that's the kind to have. Thought I'd die laughing at it crowing while hubby was napping!!! :lol3: :lol3: Hope your computer is over it's virus Mima. :p

Joanne, hope your cold is better and hope Anagram's hubby is still doing good and you were able to get in some fun time.

As for Candice ... no hope for you girl. You just need to take 2 or 3 sleeping pills and go to bed about 11 at night and get up at 7 or 8 like normal people for a few months and get your days and nights straightened out. Do your shopping over the internet or at a smaller, less populated store or something or get up really early some Wednesday morning about 5 or 6 a.m. and go shopping. That would take care of your night shopping, your day and night mix up and your sleep eating all. (Then all you'd have to worry about is your drug habit!!!)

As for me - I've been trying to take one day at a time but last weekend about 3 of them ganged up on me at once. Then I decided to take the next two weeks off so I called all my piano students and canceled lessons and then my daughter decided I didn't need any time off so she called and said she needed me to keep Ross for the next two weeks. Can't win for losing! Also, my son went on vacation this week and left his 6 months old black lab here ... "she won't be any trouble at all Mom, I'll bring her house and chain her out back and Dad can feed her in the mornings. You won't even know she's there." Well... she got loose today and I KNEW SHE WAS HERE!!! I had to get her up on the deck, go find her collar she had slipped out of and get it back on her (she's totally psycho!) Then she got through the slates in the deck and got out again so I had to figure out how she got off the chain and get her back on that ... she was all over me, scratched me in two places and almost tripped me. I turned Sami (my golden) loose and she helped me quite a bit ... kept the lab off me. The lab is only 6 months old but she's really big and strong. She could knock me down with no problem. Oh yes, son, I KNEW she was here!!! We have had our golden for 4 years and gone out of town 2 or 3 times a year and NEVER asked either of our children to keep her. And before that we had a poodle for 13 years and never asked them to keep her either. (And they've never volunteered!) We board our pets. What's up with kids anyway???

Hey There

Meme- My cold is much better. We have been house bound for 4 days with the rain. I am not complaining because I love it. Ofcourse we are on high ground so we didn't have a flooding problem. A lot of people in this area did though.
Go buy a choker chain and put on that dog..My son has a black lab. He has left him with us many times since he has had him. Another thing. If he is aggressive like my sons was He will probably have to be nutered. I had to be just as loud and mean as he was, just once. I let him know who was incharged. I told my son fix him or keep him yourself. He was fixed the next week. But the choker chain is still used. He minds me better than he does anyone. As a matter of fact he watches out for me more going down the steps than anyone else..Now he is getting old and my son lives in a upstairs house(just for a few month). My son carrys him up and down those steps 4 times a day..He has never been a outside dog..I always used kennals when I went away too or took our dog with us..We no longer have a pet.Kids think we are going to be there for anything that is needed, children or pets, forever!!!
Candice - Meme has it right... Change your sleeping habits.. Going shopping in the middle of the night is just not safe.
Mima- I bet you are really enjoying that G/baby... I often wish for more babies in our family..
Anagram- I hope the hubby is getting stronger fast,
Hello Happy.
Joanne

MemeToo 07-20-2004 08:53 PM

Hard to have a female nutered! :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: She isn't aggressive ... just plain PSYCHO! Now she's broken her collar completely in two and hubby has had to go all the way to town to buy her another one!!! I heard him mumbling something like this as he went out the door ... "Anybody stupid enough to buy a dog like THAT a collar with a PLASTIC buckle has got to be ... " then the door SLAMMED! Sure would like to have heard the rest of that sentence! ;)
