Iamgonnadoit 05-26-2004 08:07 AM

Hi everybody,
The names list is getting so long now that I just cant go to each and everyone of you just incase somebody gets missed. But I will try and cover some of the important bits that have stuck in my mind. Unfortunately I am a touch braindead due to painkillers for this grotty RA. I have had so much pain this week that I actually went to my GP and said I am getting to the state of confusion as to whether its RA or something else wrong with me. You know how it is, we put every twinge down to RA when sometimes it gets so bad I wonder could something else have crept in. Anyway the GP's wont cut across the Rheumy so they tell you to go home take painkillers. In other words go home and suffer. I see my Rheumy on the 15th so we will just have to float for a bit.
Noodles......My neighbour has two cats and last summer one went missing and it had sneaked into our garage for 3 days. People have this habit of going to garages and sheds in the summer and leaving the door open a touch and you know how curious cats can be, then they end up getting locked in. Plus if its a cute cat, and I am sure it is other people tend to feed them and then they forget for a couple of days where their home is. I am sure all will be fine.
WELCOME Ageoldie!
Its always nice to have new faces and new chat. Theyre a very graphic, cheerie lot here dispite all their aches and pains. I think I have sussed it out actually, while they are looking for all their gifs and animations they forget about the joints etc.....great therapy. I cant wait to get to 50 posts and I will be joining them.
Linus up in Edinburgh you sound as if your weather is on a par to us down south at the moment. One minute you think summers here and the next we are back wearing our fleeces. Do you think we have had our summer now. All three days of it. :dizzy:
Well I really ought to go and move about a bit before I lock up position so I will get back to you all soon. Love looking at all the pics .....Angel-Lover you are a star at finding the right ones for the right day. Catch you later.....Pam

Angel-lover 05-26-2004 11:14 AM

Pam

I DO hope you get to feeling better, soon! Oh...how I know that is. :^: I really feel for you....& not many understand. I know I keep dwelling that, but it seems to bother me a lot...I suppose more than it should.
We went to DH's cousin's funeral yesterday (a 2 hr drive away). Soon after we got to the chapel, I went to getting a headache, then back got a lot worse, then stomach cramps...I was wondering what on earth was going on! Then, it occured to me...I had forgotten to take my medications (which is a lot, for different things.)! That's something I never forget to do...I was just in a hurry. So...I spent several miserable hours & cried all the way home, from all the pain. I learned a valuable lesson! At least it let me know how much the meds are helping me. This wasn't even for RA! Some of it was for the OA, though.
:flow1:
Stirfried

You did it!!!http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Excited.gifYou can do more & more. The sky's the limit! Just experiment with different things...you'll enjoy! :D
:flow1:
Linus

My SIL is in the army & spent 1 yr in Germany...my daughter went with him. They liked it alright. Only thing, she KISSED Wal-Mart when she got back!
:flow1:
Noodles

I've never liked my name too much. I think I would like it better spelled Sharlet, though! I'm so sorry about your cat. You know, sometimes they stay gone a long time, then return. There's still hope. If not, maybe some child is giving it a lot of loving.
:flow1:
Seems like every time I start posting, I have to go do something else. Well... it's happened again. I've tried just stopping & returning, but if it takes awhile...my post leaves. :( Maybe I can come back later today. If not, I check in tomorrow. I get a treatment tomorrow evening, so I'll be "out of it" pretty much for a couple of days. Hello to Ageoldie, Rita, Kim, 2b...have a good day.

RAR 05-26-2004 03:00 PM

just wanted to pop in and say HI1! to everyone hopeing that everyone is having a pain free day my OA has been acting up what a way to start the week but thinking postive maybe if Ohio had some better weather some of it would go away well everyone have a great day!!!!!!!! Rita

Noodles913 05-26-2004 04:00 PM

Hi Girls..

Not much to post. No Cat..he's been gone since Saturday. Kid leaves Friday for the grandparental summer vacation trips, and I'm trying to close up my last auctions so I can run away for a bit too. Going to see my best friends for a bit and lend them a hand with moving and yard sales and play with my nephews. I gotta do something before I really break down. Depression bites me in the butt in times like these. Blah!! Somehow being around the people that have always loved me unconditionally squeezes the life out of the depression. For a bit anyhow...At least my arthritis isn't bugging me too bad!! That's something to be positive about. :D

Have a good day.
:sunny:

Happy Canuk 05-26-2004 08:30 PM

I hope you ladies feel better soon. I don't think there could be anything worse than depression. Don't have, don't want it! This blasted fatigue is the thing I hate and find hard to deal with. It is worse than the pain. I can lay down, but I can't sleep, although I am just on the outer rim of sleep. It just won't happen. I have O/A in my back and hip, along with Fibromyalgia. I have been trying to not take meds and just make sure and go for my chiropractic treatment. Seems to be working, but I always have meds on hand, for you never know when you need them.

Have any of you tried the tennis balls for therapy? Put two or three into a sock, divided with elastic bands. Lay on the floor, or the bed, or against the wall and apply pressure where it hurts. This helps release trigger points. Although it can be very painful when you are doing it, it feels better after.

I see some of you live in Great Britain. I live in Canada, and spring has had a hard time coming here this year. I believe it has finally arrived now. I hope we get no more snow.

Angel-lover 05-27-2004 09:28 AM

Hope everyone's feeling well today. I can't stay long...treatment today. Just wanted to let you all know I'm thinking of you. Noodles...Hope you enjoy your get-a-way. Maybe it will help. I'm sorry you're depressed. I believe I've been depressed since the housefire, but, I'm surviving. We ARE hoping to go to Gulf Shores in a couple of weeks. Haven't taken a vacation in awhile, & believe it will help us. I love just sitting on the beach watching the water. Rita...Hope your OA is better. My OA is doing a little better lately. Happy Canuk... I know what you mean about the fatigue. I hate all the other things about RA, but the fatigue really does me in. Like you said, can't sleep, but too weak to get up. My neurologist thinks I have the Fibromyalgia with it....I wouldn't be surprised. I'll have to try the tennis balls. Thanks for the idea.

Well, gotta go...everyone take care. I'll post again when I can.

Happy Canuk 05-27-2004 03:08 PM

Angel, hope the treatment doesn't leave you feeling too awful. How often do you need to have them? Well, FM is just one more pain really. Except it keeps changing all the time. The past while my feet have been really sore and they hurt the most when I first get up in the morning. Hate stepping on them. As the day goes on, the more I am on them, the better they feel - sometimes!!!

Noodles - hope your little break will help with the depression. Sorry you have to go through this.

For those not feeling well, today, I hope you see some improvement soon.

Noodles913 05-28-2004 12:05 AM

Thanks girls... :thanks:

I shall return!! Probably in 10 days or so. Have a good weekend everyone.

To answer your question...I go every 5 weeks, now. Started out 8 weeks apart. Didn't hold out that long, though. Maybe I'll be better in a couple of days. Everyone have a good weekend!

ageoldie 05-29-2004 10:41 AM

I've got to find time to play with the graphics and get them down. Last night was my bunco night and I look forward to it every month. Last night we went pretty long and by the end of the night I hurt so bad I felt like crying. Besides the fatigue my legs were hurting really bad. I had about a 20 minute drive home and I was so glad there were people with me so I wouldn't go to sleep at the wheel.

I usually work on Saturdays but since this is a holiday weekend, we are closed today and I think I'm not going to do a thing. My sister is coming over to work on our VBS class starting the 6th and I think we are going to lay out at my son's pool this afternoon. (My son lives two doors down from me) He is playing in a golf tournament today and won't be home. (He is single, so that means the house will be empty)

Hope everyone else is having a relatively pain free day and has a great weekend.

Joanne D 05-29-2004 07:20 PM

Hey There

Hello Everybody- I thought I would drop in as I was reading through a few messages. I have oa and the past couple weeks have been painful for me. I used to take all kinds of meds for the oa but, my stomach decided enough was enough. I only take a Darvocet n 100 once in awhile now. Sometimes Advil will help. I think the main thing that helped me was that I have lost a good deal of weight. I also walk 3 miles almost every day. Happy told me about the balls in the sock. I might have to go out and buy some to see if it will work on my neck. Yes Happy still with the neck pain. I think it is oa in there.
I always felt the best thing for depression was exercise.I know when I get upset or down about something it helps me to just get out and walk to the beach. Usually by the time I get there ,I feel better. Just a thought that might help someone..
Angel- I haven't found you for awhile. I hope you are doing well. How is the house coming along?
My son has been with us for awhile . He sold his house and just bought another one. He is in the process of moving. I love him, but, I will be glad when his dog has another bed besides my rugs. My G/son will be going back to Irag probably next month. He is in the navy on a carrier so he should be safe. You never know though till they come back home. He was there during the first bombing. His ship was in the Med. sea then.
Have Nice Weekend...Joanne

Angel-lover 05-29-2004 09:59 PM

Joanne D!

So good to hear from you! I've thought a lot about your beach lately. I've got to get away soon. It's been very stressful around here, & I need time away. Wish I lived close to you! Hey...weigh to go!! Proud for you losing the weight. I also have a son with me & DH now. He & wife are divorcing. They're in a bitter fight over the 2 little girls. Bad times.
The house is coming along a little faster now. Hopefully by the end of summer, most of it will be finished. Either that, or we'll be out of money, & can't finish. :^: Sorry your OA is bothering you so bad. My RA is giving me fits.
I'll be praying for your grandson. My SIL is safely at home & will be out of the service in August & they'll be moving back here. He's having a lot of nightmares. Daughter says they're not about dying, but about being captured. Apparently that was his worse fear.
Do come & visit here often. I miss you a lot! Hope you have a great holiday weekend.

Ageoldie

Sorry you have been feeling so bad. I know exactly what you mean by the fatigue. It is so overwhelming... I'll remember you in prayer tomorrow at church, if you don't mind. A pool would sound nice, if I had one....if not a beach. I'm still not feeling too well, so gonna go. Hope you rest peacefully tonight.

Iamgonnadoit 05-30-2004 04:41 AM

Hi all, really nice to see some new chatty people coming and saying hello...sad thing is we all seem to be going through the mill at the moment with these grotty aches and pains. I dont know about anybody else but I find when a flare goes on for a while its like a constant toothache and it brings on the tiredness, nausea and depression in that order. Is that how everybody else feels too? Thats my miserable bit over now for a little chat.......Charlotte I dont like it when youre not Chirpy so do feel better soon. I got my son hats over from NJ, remember the problems I had trying to buy one here, anyway would you believe one of them was split so not I am having to chase the company for a new one. Not only that but customs put another $15 dollars on the price and we havent had any sun as such either.
Only another 4 weeks to the wedding and I will be on that 7 hour haul across the pond. Mind you, cant wait to see my boys and their families. :) I cant wait to see my consultant who did my surgery on my face as he is supposed to be saying whether I can start putting a foundation on over my scarring. Although it has healed beautifully it is obviously still new and very red. He did say nothing until at least July so the wedding being the 3rd might be fine.
I worry about my sons being across the pond but I must say I feel for you if you have sons involved with Iraq, it must be a nightmare for them and you. MY heart goes out to anyone in that position.
Right I am off now....My sister is calling me up for a game of backgammon. I haven't seen her in the flesh so to speak for 20 years as she is in Aussie but we chat and play games on here everyday....great eh? Also everybody in my family has a pc with a webcam so we all chat face to face...... Makes the world alot smaller...
Catch you all soon....

Happy Canuk 05-30-2004 03:45 PM

Iamgonnadoit I am gonna do it to!!!! :) I have been on this eating plan for just about a week (started the week before, but went out of town for 3 days, and staying at other's homes just doesn't seem to work well). Anyway, hopefully, I will be down a couple of pounds by tomorrow. It is so hard to shed a pound anymore. I believe all this is welded to my body

I know you will enjoy seeing your sons. That will be so nice for you. Just such a long trip is all.

What a great way to stay in contact with your family. 20 years is a loooong time, so having a webcan and playing games is great.

Ageoldie - the fatigue is worse than the pain for me. At least the pain I can deal with! This fatigue is just so blasted horrible. Hope it leaves you soon.

Joanne - glad you found your way over here. Hope your neck is feeling better, if not you had better go to the Dr. and see what is going on with it.

Angel Lover - Hmmm, was playing in PSP and made you a siggy. Use if it you want to. http://photos.imageevent.com/happyca...el%20lover.jpg Hope you are feeling better.

Linus - a new house will be nice. My days of stairs are long gone. We sold our house and moved to an apartment style condo and we are loving it.

Everybody have a nice day.

Angel-lover 05-30-2004 04:37 PM

Happy Canuk!

I suppose you can see I liked it! That was so very sweet of you. Cheered up my day, knowing you had me on your mind, & was so thoughtful. Have a great weekend!

ageoldie 05-30-2004 09:15 PM

Had a restful day yesterday, sat by the pool and in the water for a good bit of the day, until I started feeling too much sun. Then I came in to the reclinder. Today I went to church, came home an took a nap then I went back to church to work on our vacation bible school room. It's the next week (the 6-9th) so we are running out of time. But it's fun.

Tomorrow being a holiday here, I don't plan to do much then either. I may go to the health club and work our some, them I think my sister, mom and niece are going shopping. Nothing very strenious.

About the graphics, do you make them yourselves, or do you get them from some other site? If from another site, can I ask which ones? I love them, and want to come here just to see what's new.

Happy Canuk 05-30-2004 09:30 PM

You can get images from tons of places on the net. Just type into Google free images and a list should come up. Then, you must save then to your own computer, usually a file somewhere in My Documents (lots of people use My Pictures). Then you need to have a storage place to put them. I will come back and put a link here for you. It is free, you just need to sign up. Then you need to click on the image or the wording, depending on which site you are on. The picture will come up and then you Right Click on it, choose properties, highlight the url or address, right click, choose COPY, and then go the bottom and click ok. Then bring it back here and post it, using the following

Here is the link for a storage site.http://www.mypages.iparenting.com/index.htm

You can also use Photobucket, but I find this one easier.

Hope this is clear for you, if not, just ask. Posting graphics is a lot of fun. I love making them as well. Have gotten into Paintshop Pro with a band of Fibromyalgia ladies and it is a great diversion for pain. Learned lots, but still so much to learn.

Sounds like your day was restful and that is good.

Angel - Glad you liked the angel. I saw her and thought of you. Have a few more to go. Hope your feeling better.

ageoldie 05-31-2004 09:50 AM

Thanks Anne, I have a storage site and I know how to insert the graphics, I just didn't know where to go to find them. I think I'll go check them out now. I tried to get into making my own with PSP, but somehow it just never clicked. I guess it's because I don't have enought time to devote to it, and when I'd get time to try, I'd have forgotten everything I had already done. I did do my siggy, but not much more.

Memorial Day

is a patriotic holiday
in the United States. It is a day to honor
Americans who gave their lives
for their country, and is celebrated
as a legal holiday in most states.
This date was made a federal holiday by a
law that became effective in 1971

WHAT IS A VETERAN?

A Veteran is someone who left hearth, home and loved ones behind, often at a young age, to protect our freedom.

A Veteran is someone who died in battle, far from home and is buried on foreign soil.

A Veteran is someone who crouched, terrified, in foxholes or trenches at The Front.

A Veteran is someone who landed on the beaches of Dieppe, Normandy and Juno and had little chance of surviving.

A Veteran is someone who was wounded, lost limbs, or was shell-shocked.

A Veteran is someone who spent months or years aboard a ship, far from home, to protect America from her enemies.

A Veteran is someone who was on a bomber over bullet-ridden skies, either as a pilot or a member of the crew.

A Veteran is someone who saved the lives of the wounded, whether a doctor, nurse, medic, or a member of his Platoon.

A Veteran is a member of the K9 Units who worked with our men overseas.

A Veteran is someone who spent years as a POW…many never came home. Some may be still alive, knowing they never will come home…wondering about mothers, wives and children.

A Veteran is someone who has been listed as MIA, but still lives in a foreign land, forgotten by his country.

A Veteran is someone who crawled through jungles and tunnels never knowing what lay around the next curve.

A Veteran is someone who is laid to rest as “Taps” drifts across a cemetery and guns sound in a salute.

A Veteran is someone in a Veteran’s hospital or old-age home who is not able to care for him/herself. Though they defended their country, they can no longer protect themselves from the physical and mental abuse inflicted by the staff or family members.

A Veteran is someone who once held his dying friend in his arms while wondering why the world was such a cruel place.

A Veteran is a nurse who held dying men in her arms and shed tears, even though she had never met him before in her life…she cried for the injustice of it all…the horror of it all and the senselessness of it all.

A Veteran is someone who wakes, screaming, in the night, his body drenched in sweat. He or she is remembering…dreaming of some atrocity witnessed in the course of war.

A Veteran is someone who marches in a parade, medals displayed proudly on his/her chest.

A Veteran is someone who marches in a parade with no medals displayed on his/her chest.

A Veteran is someone who never marches in a parade, has no medals, but knows that he did his/her duty and served their country proudly and to the best of their ability.

A Veteran is someone who enabled us to have everything we hold dear…equal opportunity, justice and liberty for all.

A Veteran is someone who we pay tribute to once a year. We stand at attention in silence for one (two in Canada this year) minute and thank him/her for what they have sacrificed. We should be ashamed.

A Veteran is someone who, when you see him/her on the street, you should walk up to, shake his or her hand and say, “Thank you.”

Have you hugged a Veteran today?

ageoldie 05-31-2004 06:05 PM

No, my veteran is my youngest son, and he and his brother (my oldest son) are celebrating the hoiday and thier birthdays together as has become a tradition with them. They are at the horseraces for a day of male bonding!

Joanne D 05-31-2004 06:54 PM

Hey There

Nice piece Happy.. My father told me once about cooking a chicken in his helmet in a farm yard in France during the WW2.He was in England during the bombings. He is long gone.
My hubby was in the navy during that war. Spent most of that time in Miami at a air station. His brother was on a ship and was in some major battles.
It has been a quiet day here. We cooked steak on the grill. I made cheese potatoes augratin and salad. Too many points.
Hello Angel and everybody...Joanne

Angel-lover 05-31-2004 10:00 PM

Hi Joanne D...Hope you had a good day. Yes, I had Uncles, friends, etc., & of course SIL in service. I've had them all on my mind all day. Have a nice evening.

Hi Ageoldie...Good to have two sons who are close like that. I hope they had a great day together!

Iamgonnadoit 06-01-2004 07:41 AM

Good morning!!!!!!! Oooooops! Afternoon.......12.20pm....Anyway hows everybody doing? I do hope you all had a super weekend whatever you happened to be doing. We spent alot of time yesterday in the garden....We cleaned our pond and kind of changed it a bit and went and bought new weed etc for it. Its not very big, but I think its lovely listening to the waterfall when youre sitting in the garden. I suppose some people would call it more of a water feature than a pond but we do have fish too. My OH took the dogs to our field as usual and sorted the ponies. We have two stabled at the moment which is very rare as they all live out normally. Unfortunately with native ponies, and ours are Welsh Mountain, they can be prone to Laminitis which apart from being very painful causes lameness. In all the years we have had horses and ponies we have never had it on our yard but we have now and its not good. The grass on the field is going crazy and these ponies dont know when to stop eating for their own good.So thats what has taken up OH 's time this weekend anyhow.
I see by reading the posts that everybody is into wanting to put pictures and signatures on here. I love to see them, I adore Happys pic of fatcat on the scales......Angel you know I am always going on about your graphics...BTW love the fairy......
I came on this forum to help with losing my weight but there are so many other things to talk about that its not as important as it was do you find that too. Must be cos we have other things to talk about. Ooops trouble, I have Sis calling me again...another game of something before she goes to bed.......catch you all soon.....byeeee

Iamgonnadoit 06-01-2004 07:42 AM

Oooooooooooooooooooh! Angel thats LUFFLY!!!!!!!!

Khewes 06-01-2004 09:50 AM

Good morning everyone. Gosh, I have been really neglecting my friends here.
:(

Have been crazy busy at work and my home computer up and died. We bought a new one, but it doesn't work right and I had to call COMP USA and have someone scheduled to come out and fix the dang thing already.

RA seems to be in check right now thanks to the methotrexate and the Enbrel. Better living through chemistry, eh?

One thing I am particularly excited about, and I know you guys will understand...
I went out and bought shoes this weekend. Cute, summer shoes. I have been wearing orthopedic Birkenstocks which are comfortable as all heck, but ugly as sin. My feet are my worst joint and I can't wear much of anything else, but I found some that are comfortable and hug my feet and are cute! I actually got a pedicure and had my toenails painted pink. Nothing like a little polish and sparkle to make a girl feel good, eh?

Anyway.... keeping everyone in my thoughts that you all have nice, pain free days ahead.

Kim

Iamgonnadoit 06-01-2004 10:11 AM

Oh Kim.....can I sypathise with you or what......oh for some comfy shoes! I have lived in trainers nearly all winter as everything I put on hurts. Trainers are the best or were but just lately they are awful too. I have to get sandals or shoes or something for this wedding in July but havent got a clue what. I have very wide feet too which is not good. You have a much better size range in the States but I am not leaving myself alot of time to go shopping as I dont arrive over there until the Wednesday night before the wedding.
My brother called in to see me on Saturday for the first time in ages and he had a pair of Indian Moccassins on his feet that he had bought in Cincinnatti somewhere. They measured his feet and then made them. They were made in one piece and were beautiful. They fitted like gloves and were so soft. They had a thick sole so you could wear them outside. I wear pants, either leggings or trousers or jeans all the time so they would be perfect for me. He is going back there in 2 weeks time so I have been begging him to buy some for me but he said he would need to checkout the price first cos he cant remember how much they were but has a feeling they were a phenomenal price.
Anyway you must be in your glory now to have found something comfortable and that fits ....lucky you.....and you have painted your toenails too ....OMG! I am speechless  You must feel a million dollars and so you should once in a while. :bravo:......Only eight more posts to go then I can post graphics ..YAY!!!!!!

Happy Canuk 06-01-2004 12:22 PM

Hi ladies.

Iamgonnadoit - Sounds like you had a nice busy day there. The sound of running water is so very relaxing, unless you have a full bladder  Sounds nice where you live. You are so right about this message board being MORE than just about weightloss. When you have chronic pain, it is nice to be able to reach out to others that understand. Nobody experiences pain the same way, but we sure do understand how it affect every aspect of our life.

I hope you are able to find some nice, comfortable shoes. That is so very important.

Since you like my little fat cat so much, I am passing him over to you. You will soon be able to post graphics. Hope you like it http://photos.imageevent.com/happyca...mgonnadoit.gif

Ageoldie - It is nice to have two kids almost the same age, that actually get along. Hope you are feeling well.

Kim - way to go finding new shoes. Those Birkenstocks feel so horrible on my feet. All the bumps hit the wrong place. Anyway, so glad you found a nice pair of shoes and even better you got a pedicure. That must feel good.

Hi Joanne and Angel. Hope you are having a good day.

I have been having such pain in my hands and feet the past few weeks. A nurse, on another site I go to, suggested one of those hot wax machines. I did go buy one and it really helps relieve the pain. Just thought I would pass along the suggestion. Now, I hope everybody has a good day.

Oh Wow!!! Thanks for that Anne......Everybody is so nice on here .......Hey I have just notice youre on your 1000th post......WELL DONE!!!!! Goodness its going to take me forever to get there. :comp: I will keep trying though. Its been raining all day so I have spent quite a bit of time on here instead of doing all the mundane things I should have been doing like hoovering, ironing, cleaning up and the like. Thing is the same grotty chores are back again tomorrow so if I miss a day who cares. ;) Have to cook though and thats my next job. Dinner! Fajitas today cos theyre so quick and easy.....catch you soon... Byeeee

For the compliment...Iamgonnadoit. Soon you'll be doing the graphics! I'll be happy for you. I know you're looking forward to it. This is giving you a little time to be stocking up on some to use, later. ;) Looking forward to seeing what you have.

Happy Canuk..that was so sweet of you to do that! Be careful....you know you've already spoiled me! I wish I could afford PSP. I know I would enjoy it. Maybe at a later time.

Kim...so sorry about your pc. I totally understand those frustrations. It's good to hear from you.
Also sorry about your foot problems. My feet have been hurting me a lot lately. For the past year, I haven't been able to wear hardly any kind of shoe. Even house shoes hurt my feet. Just do the best I can.

Gotta go for now...have a good day.

Happy... the Birckenstocks definietly take some time to get used to. The first two weeks of wearing them were a little umcomfortable. The heat from your body eventually melts the cork and then they fit your feet like ugly little gloves. But oh my gosh, when you finally get them broken in? Heaven.

Angel-lover 06-02-2004 10:20 AM

Good morning, everyone. Happy humpday! :D Oh well...so much for cheering everyone up. :coffee:
Kim...are those shoes for winter or summer? I can make it through summer, with just something soft to slip into. But, winter is really rough on me. This past winter, I wore those shoes that have the backs out you slide into. Fairly comfortable...but, as soon as I got to the station, I'd put on houseshoes. That's what I wear there, or couldn't walk around much. My right leg & hip has started bothering me a lot lately, also...hasn't been doing that. I stay so worried that I'm going to get down worse. DH always said I look for things to worry about. :^:

Iamgonnadoit...Your last 4 posts show they are #43! I hope they're counting them right. I would think you're close to 50 now. I know you're anxious. Maybe it just shows that way on my pc.

Happy Canuk...Hope your hands & feet get better. Maybe that wax machine will help. If so, let us know...my feet bother me worse than my hands...I could sit here & post with my feet in hot wax! hmmmm...sounds nice. ;)

Gotta go....hope everyone has a good day.

Hey There

I often wondered about those shoes. The only thing is the price and they are so ugly.. I have a really difficult time finding shoes that don't hurt. Maybe I should close my eyes and buy a pair.
My daughter has a hot wax machine she uses for her hands. I have tried it a couple times. Makes your hands nice and soft after the burn.
I got in my sons hot tub last night. My first time in one. I might have to do that again. He said if he sells the house he will give it to me.
Walked as usual yesterday. 3 miles on a treadmil is hard to do. I had my CD player on and the TV too. I couldn't hear the TV but the picture helped take my mind off of the time. It is just too hot to walk outside now. The humidity here in Fl. is something else.
Bye for now...Joanne

Good morning.

Angel - hope your feet feel better soon. It is bad enough having this darn pain, but with the feet it is terrible. You must use them to transport yourself!! Have you ever tried on a pair of the z-coil shoes? My uncle bought a pair of them because his knee is so bad, and it is amazing the difference in the pain levels. Lots of nurses here wear them as well, because they are on their feet for so many hours. Helps the feet, legs, lower back etc. They are not the prettiest shoes in the world, but if they help, who the heck cares http://www.zcoil.com/ztechnology.cfm

Iamgonnadoit - The number thing doesn't seem to be working. I have been at 1000 posts for absolutely months. Maybe, if you can't post images yet, you should go to the main forum and ask about it.

Joanne - nice that your son got a hot tub in this new house of his. Nicer that he will give it to you when he goes to sell it!! I can't go in them, as the chemicals make my skin way to itchy. Otherwise, they are great.

Ageoldie - did you find some graphic sites yet? I can post a few for you here if you like.

I am going to do the hotwax on my feet again this morning. You just dip them into the wax quickly, and then wrap them in plastic bags and sit for about 20 minutes. It relaxes the feet so much. Same with the hands.

Been having trouble with my lower back the past few days, and the right hip. Wish it would go away. Just kind of gets a grip and won't let go.

Hope you all have a good day.
