I was following the GI Diet plan, which matches protein and carbs together...4oz protein and 1/2 cup of cooked rice or pasta or 1 slice multigrain bread. and as much green light veggies and fruit as you like {there is a website:
www.gidiet.com that lists the program} I found that I was doing better while I was going to the gym. When I caught a cold, my weight loss stopping too....
It must be the low metobolism that they say is caused by the hypothyroidism.
My Boyfriend had poo-pooed the idea that Hypothroid was a culprit until I got sick....most people lose weight, I usually gain!
Apparently stress and tension aggravates the hypothyroidism too, so I am looking at meditation to see if that helps.
I have asked my doctor abot thyrosine...I can get it OTC here at the health food store... but he hasn't gotten back to me...of course this is the same man that said that I didn't have to do anything about it until I do in for my annual checkup next year...as if I would let something this important sllide!
