Good morning everybody. I had such a busy weekend didn't even have time to read the newspaper - from Friday and Saturday, until last night!!!!

I did manage through all if it, to get my hair cut and colored so at least I feel good about that.

Now, I have to tell you, I really love the South Beach Diet, although sometimes, I think I do Atkins but it doesn't seem to matter much. I am starting the second week of Phase 1 today and I am down 7 pounds. That feels really good.

Grasshopper, I hope your back is feeling a lot better now that you are NOT working. Perhaps, try to pick up another part time job from now until Christmas and see how that goes for you.

Angel - I THINK Silk should be back soon. I thought she had said the end of October or so. I hope you had a good weekend and that you are feeling better.

I forgot..Why has Silk been gone? Hello Angel..
Happy..I like the South Beach Diet too. I just don't understand how some of you are losing at a rate of 5-7 lbs in a week. I did good to lose 2-3 lbs. And now it has slowed down to 1 and the scale seems not to move. I guess I should be glad I am not gaining. I haven't had any carbs but a fruit a couple times a week. I have 5 more lbs to go...
Talking about hair color. I have to get at it too. I bought the color ,all I have to do is put it on. Maybe tomorrow.
We have been babysitting my sons dog for 4 days. He came and got him tonight. He is a Black Lab. Tomorrow will be a busy day. Vacumning and getting all the hair out of the house.He sure can shed..

Talk about hair color! I hate to color my hair...always wait until the last minute....when hairdresser threatens to do it for me...at a large charge!:lol:

Joanne...we all lose at a different rate. We tend to slow down after losing several pounds, too. Also, if you're walking....you may be building muscles in your legs...& they weigh, but the inches should be showing.

LOL. Have to laugh about the hair color comments back and forth. I've been doing it so long I forgot what my real hair color is. Worst is that I get bored and try different colors. What a trend setter I am......had some really bad results sometimes.

Got called back for a job again. Should be part time so we'll see what they have to say. Interview is tomorrow. Same day is my appointment with the Spine Clinic. We'll have to see. Had a new development.....ever have your upper thigh lock? Felt awful, like a charlie horse or something. Not sure what that means. Glad I have the doc's appointment in a few days. On the bright side, back hasn't been too bad.

Grasshopper,Angel- I used to have my hip lock on me when I was working. I took my hand and pushed on it till it snapped back in place. I thought it was slipping out of the socket. It hasn't happened in a long time. Ofcourse I am not on my feet as much..
I have been walking but not nearly as much as I want to or should.. These problems with weight are a pain in the neck. Sometimes I get so tired of it all.I know I will never be able to just eat and enjoy the foods I like.Weight and the scale are always in the back of my mind. I guess I want things to just be easy . Like having my cake and eat it too..What a joke!!
Good luck with the job,Grasshopper. I did my hair today,Angel. I used to let the hair dresser do it. It just got too expensive.
I have changed my hair color several times. I pretty much stick to the same beige blond these days..It doesn't seem to be so aging. I said at one time that when I reached 70 I was going to just forget it all. My kids didn't agree and my hubby said no way. He didn't want to go to bed with a white haired old women. I haven't figured out yet if I should kick him or hug him. Either way will get me in trouble.:lol: :lol:
