Hi

Meme - Hope they get a new med out as good for you as the gold shot was. I guess you are having rain, by the sounds of it. Wish we could get some. It is drizzling a bit tonight, but no real rain.

Anagram - glad you had a good weekend. I wish the "hayfever" season would leave here, but probably not until the farmer's are finished cutting. It is just in the air.

I found that when I was on Atkins, I just wasn't hungry. I don't know why I can't get on a diet and stay on it. Maybe after I finish with this yeast treatment it will be better. Yeast just make you crave sugar like crazy, and it really isn't something you can control. Anyway, I am on 4 weeks of Diflucan and I just took the second pill tonight. 2 weeks left and I hope it kills it. It has gone systemic, throughout my system. I won't lose much weight until it is gone, as it holds on to all fluid it can find.

I have a sinus headache and I ache all over. Hope this passes soon. Been a few days now.

Hope everyone feels ok.

Hi Joanne, Ally and Candice.

Guys-you have to read Dr. Phil's book-if we did it, we would never have to go on a diet-read the posts on the book club discussion-they are on the first chapter. I bough a copy and have just started to read it. Want to give it to my daughter. Go Red Sox-magic number is 4-Having my nails done at 8 and then going to church to mark crafts with 2 elderly ladies. When I wake up-my eyes are almost closed from the pollen. Bye for now. mIMA

Hey There

It is lightly raining here. We always hope for more. It just drains right through this Fl. sand...
Anagram- You have a good thought. Do something fun each day. That is what retirement is all about.
Meme- You would think with all the supposed brains in this world they could find a cure for our ailments. They can build bombs!
Mima- You seem to keep busy.. I have dropped a couple more lbs occording to my scales. Hope it shows on TOPS scales.
Happy- Medications sure make it hard for us to lose..As soon as we get everything running smooth the Dr. will change something.
Hello Ally,Candice..Hope everyone feels better soon.....Joanne

Mima.... I was waiting for one of you to talk about Dr. Phil. He was just on Access Hollywood where they showed him standing next to David Letterman who joked "who REALLY wants to look like Dr. Phil". I agree with almost all his keys to weight loss etc...they are common sense and I find them totally realistic. BUT, I am not sure Dr. Phil understands what women like us are all about. I think he would be baffled by the fact that some of us actually diet. He would tell us to quit obsessing about this and lighten up. If we are healthy, that's all that matters. He is technically overweight himself. But he is healthy and satisfied with what he looks like. Men often underestimate their weight, or think they should be allowed to weigh more. Women always think they weigh too much. He doesn't really understand what it is like to have these poor body images.
I watched that Extreme Makeover and actually got depressed. I could use almost all their plastic surgery but will never have it done. The very fact that a show about operations/pain/blood/ etc is popular demonstrates to me that most people think they should be "fixed" instead of accepting ourselves the way we are.
That is what I would like to learn. I would like to turn on the TV someday and see more than one prime time show with a major character who is a size 14 or 16. MAYBE if I saw that I would start to look in the mirror and think that I look OK!

Did some more fall clean up in the yard today and I was hurting before that! The taffy apples are in the stores and that is my favorite and I can count it as a fruit! IBS acting up again, I hate feeling bloated. I go to my doc Thursaday to get my ambien refilled so I will shop I'm sure! The bank still says there was no mistake..then why were we listed as a business and charged so high for the service charge each month? WE changed the account as soon as we were aware of the problem but they still owe us back money but say they don't, This is a small bank in our small town and dH won't push it.

Pain Pain go away...but please don't come another day;)

Dr. Phil isn't really overweight...he's just BIG. See, men can get by with being BIG... women can't! Whoever heard of a BIG woman looking good because she had a BIG frame and carried her weight well... I mean get real... people SAY that but REALLY! I'm tall and people never believe I weight 185. They say, yeah but you're tall and you can carry it. BUT I DON'T WANNA CARRY IT!!!!!!! I should weigh about 140 (if I was 20) to 160 ... (which is probably about right for me now.) I only weighed 135 when I got married but I'm sure I'll never weigh that again unless I get so sick I can't eat! :p I, seriously, I think big men don't look as bad as big women ... I watched David Letterman and the thing they did when they were standing side by side ... after Dr. Phil took his jacket off was funny. They did it like a 'showdown' kind of thing and Dr. Phil was making fun of Letterman saying he had seen more meat on a chicken leg or something. It was hilarious. Dr. Phil was giving Letterman advise on being a father (he's 'expecting') ... the whole show was really funny!

I wrote Dr. Phil an email and told him he left one important group of people out of his selected group of 12 he has in his 'house' on his show. He put 12 people in a house for a week and is going to select 8 of them to follow for 10 months to help them lose weight. He said at the start of this that he selected someone in those 12 that everyone in America could relate to ... well he messed up. There was not one person in that group who had health challenges. Every single person could exercise and no one was on medication that they mentioned. I told him that in the email I sent him. He kept harping on relations, spouse abuse, sex abuse, past, self hate, stress at work, kids etc. and I told him some of us had great spouses and great kids, wonderful homes, jobs we love but we were on medication that had caused us to gain weight and we can't exercise. I told him the Drs. were always telling me my blood was low and I needed to eat to get it up and my weight was high and I needed to get it down but they never did tell me HOW. Then I told him he left out a whole group of overweight Americans! I don't ever expect to hear from him!!! :D

Hey There

Meme-GOOD FOR YOU.I don't think much of Dr. Phil.. I think he degrades the women more than he helps..I can' t stand his shows. He was the reason I stopped watching Opra when he was on.His maucho attitude towards people that need assistance is all for ratings and showmanship..
The people he puts on those shows are hand picked. Who in their right mind is going to sob before the world...BAH!!!
Got to go before I get in trouble.......Joanne
