Dealing with Medication Munchies

I am in full binge mode after taking Seroquel this morning for anxiety. It isn't a regular med for me but only when needed. It causes the munchies bad and no amount of distraction, exercise or water is helping me stop. Should I just accept this an off day and get back on track tomorrow or do you have any suggestions for stopping? It's like my body wants everything.

What is the scale telling you? If you're not gaining from an unrestricted munchy day, no harm, no foul.

If (like for me) a munchy day can result in a 10,000 calorie day, then maybe instead of trying to prevent the extra snacking, you can reduce the calories in the snacking, by keeping on hand a lot of very low-calorie, high bulk foods for snacking, so you can eat more food without eating more caloried.

I used to be on Seroquel and had the same problem. The thing with me was I was taking them at night and I would wake up about an hour later starving. I would eat anything I could find! I gained weight because of it and am still struggling to lose that weight. I don’t have any suggestions for you but to let you know I know what you are dealing with since I dealt with the same thing until I got tired of it and asked my doctor to put me on something else. Maybe you could talk to your doctor and let he or she know that they do this to you and ask to be put on something else.
