Hi everybody.....you know, it just hit me last night what PSP stood for! I feel so dumb!!! I've been thinking about how fun it probably would be. I just can't afford it right now. Our money goes toward rebuilding of our house. Maybe, I can try it in the future, though. Your work is so beautiful...it's really tempting.

Want to say http://www.members.aol.com/teejaw/smilies/Welcome3.gif to Candicej...hope you stay with us.

Grasshopper....said you got test back....but didn't tell us anything!! Oh, & in case I'm late posting tomorrow.....

I could use some rain up here. It was supposed to rain last night and it did, but such a little bit. The thunder was sure booming and the lightening show was terrific. The past couple of days and next few will be hot and humid - I call that killer weather because I end up hurting so bad from it. Every joint and muscle in the body get going. Have had a headache now for 2 days.

Hope your car gets up and running. That is annoying when it doesn't work and you need it.

I hope that you have yourself a wonderful birthday. I read on the other thread that you will be 33. You are 3 years younger than my daughter. She did so well on ww. It took her a couple of years, but she lost 80 pounds and started running and working out with weights. She looks wonderful and feels so good about herself now.

Enjoy your day and be kind to yourself. Go do something nice, just for you.

Hi Ladies!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Had a good day, a great day actually. I had to take my younger brother to the dermotologist. Sorry if I spelt that wrong. He has horrible acne but no insurance...we were waiting on a referral to a hospital clinic with a sliding scale but his face got so bad his eyes were swelling shut. I decided just to take him in and we'd deal with the cost.

Went in and they think he's eligible for a program that supplies free or reduce rate acutain. Normally, it could cost over $800 a month plus the additional costs of bloodtests. I'm so happy for him!!! Was like his birthday instead of mine! Poor guy has had bad skin for a long time but had no hope of affording the medication or the doc.

After that, I took him with me while I got my first manicure. Keep looking at my fingers and smiling. Had a big birthday dinner at TGI Fridays but figure if you can't indulge on your birthday when can you? I even got proofed :)

Hope everyone is feeling well. The doc didn't say much about those tests she wanted me to see my regular doc. I have an appointment with him on tuesday. Chosing not to worry until I know more....

Have a great weekend!

Deb :)

Hi all.....Ii've got that bad virus on my computer that is hitting winxp &msn....I'll be back as soon as I can....take care,,,know that I'm thinking of you all.

Happy Canuk 08-13-2003 12:10 PM

Angel, that is a terrible one to get. It sure seems to be moving fast. I don't know if this will help you or not.. It was posted on another site I belong to.

AMG:E - try this site below. The other one was not working. You can get the patch for microsoft. Just go download it if you haven't already done so. Then go to Symantec and get the worm remover that they have put it (if you have Norton)

.................................................. .................................

Go here to downlooad it from Windows:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/s...displaylang=en

Choose which OS you have, and do it right there.
If you have the virus, you will not be able to stay online very long, so you may not be online long enough to download the patch, but you can do manually. I have the directions to do it manually if that happens:

to turn off the RPC automatic shutdown follow these steps

Ckick START, in your Control panel, go to [click] administrative tools then to Components services. then under the folder on the left you will see something that says Services ( local ) click open.

then on the right hand side scroll down to the "remote procedure call" [manual]. highlight it right click and go to properties, then you can choose what to do. click on RECOVERY TAB, change from ' reboot in 60 seconds' to 'TAKE NO ACTION' in all three boxes . click apply and OK.

here is the patch for the RPC exploit, do this after the above

Here is the site for Norton and the Blaster Removal Tool

Hi..can't talk but a sec...I did all you said & they were already checked.....bad, bad virus!!! Thanks so much. I'll be back ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Angel-lover 08-16-2003 06:07 AM

HI...I'M BACK!!!!!

I have really had a time with my cp...almost crashed on me yesterday! I tried calling that toll-free number, (after trying for several days) & got them. The technician worked with me for 4 hrs. He said he was happy I got him, because my cp was almost a goner.

Thanks Happy Canuk for your help...I thought did all you said in your advice....but I didn't get to stay online long enough to read all you said. I thought I had...just missed it, going on & off line so much! You were right...that was some of the things the technician had me to do. Only thing, I couldn't get anything to download, even manually....too much was invaded! He gave me several things to download for future protection...it'll take a few days for it all, but worth it.

I hope all are doing ok. Has anyone heard from Silk? I'm very concerned about her. Has anyone heard from her surgery?

Hi, Grasshopper...hope all is well. I'll check in later.

Hi everyone, I am sorry that I have not answered before this but I was in the hospital and then we went away for a few days as my hubby is on holidays. I had a kidney stone and they removed it without any trouble. I was very relieved as I was very afraid when they weren't sure what the obstruction was. However, I am feeling much better. Thanks for your prayers.

I have to go to the rehumatalogist (not sure of the spelling) on Monday regarding my fybromyalgia.

It has been terribly hot and humid the last few days and then with the black out things have been a little tense.

Nice to hear from all of you.

Take care
Silk

Angel-lover 08-16-2003 08:13 PM

HEY, GIRL.....YOU HAD ME WORRIED!! I'm so glad you're alright! I AM sorry you were in the hospital with a kidney stone...but you can imagine what I was thinking! I've been praying for you.

I guess you've read about me being off with cp. I'm back, now, though, & cp is working better than ever!

It's very hot here...almost too hot to do anything. My poor husband is out working on the house, though. Puts a wet towel around his neck & keeps going!

I guess I'll go finish eating supper....saw your post & stopped eating.....you're good for my diet! I guess you found my private message...I was fixing to look you up.........somehow!!!

Hi All!

What a HOT HOT NIGHT! I'm debating just shaving my head! So glad to hear the you're doing okay Silk...been wondering about you myself.

Angel...hope your hubby is wearing a hat when he's out working. Bad way to get skin cancer and heat stoke....sorry, family of farmers....:)

Angel...if you want to download PSP I think there are free trials. My brother does that...then when the time is up he resets the computer to factory settings, tricks the system, and gets to download the trail program again for free.

That's about it for now. Night all!

Deb

Angel-lover 08-17-2003 07:33 AM

Hi Grasshopper....hot there too...huh? http://www.whittibo.com/files/fungif066.gif Well....hubby wears a little cap sometimes..but most of the time, nothing on his head. I know......but you've never met anyone as stubborn as him. I just stopped arguing with him. He DOES put a wet towel around his neck, & sometimes I see it on his head! We have a son-in-law in Iraq....130-140 degree heat....guess we don't need to complain.

Thanks for the advise on PSP. I'm thinking about trying it out. I don't think I could redo the factory setting thing, though. I'm not thinking bad of your brother....I just have such a conscience, I'd go crazy!! I've always been that way. If I accidently take an ink pen I borrowed to write out a check....I call & apologize! I'm not claiming to be perfect.....that's just my personality. Sometimes it really gets in my way!!:dizzy: I guess that's one reason I take it so personal when things happen to me, like the worm virus in the cp....it was like they didn't like ME & wanted to hurt ME!! It's probably compulsive "something-or-other".http://www.gifanimations.com/Image/A.../faces_012.gif

Did you ever find out any more from your tests? I lost track somewhere.......hope you're ok.

I'll check back in later. Have a good day!

Hi everyone, it is good to be back in touch with all of you. Angel, thanks for your concern, I am sure your prayers helped.

I feel like the new kid on the block, I haven't felt like that for a long time since I am 57 years old and not anywhere near being a kid.

My weight is at a standstill. I am not gaining but I have not lost any weight for a while now, it is a vicious circle when I can't exercise because of the fybro and I continue to eat and worry about my weight.

It has been six weeks now since my brother passed away and I think it is just starting to sink in as I have been dreaming about him the past couple of nights and when I wake up I have to deal with the fact that he is gone all over again.

It is a beautiful Sunday morning and my husband has one more week of holidays so I will focus on the positive and not the negative.

I hope you all enjoy the day!

Take care
Silk
