Hi Happy Canuck and Angel, I was so glad to hear from both of you when I got home from my mother-in-laws tonight. We had a good day, it is a three hour dreive one way so it was a long day but enjoyable. We took her out for supper and then headed home at 8:30 p.m.

I am feeling better then I was, I think the pills are kicking in as I do not have the pain in my back that I had the first of the week.

It seems like this summer is going way to fast but I also enjoy the fall, it is such a beautiful time of year.

Hi Silk....glad you had a good time at you MIL. I'm sure she was very happy for your visit.

Also, glad you're feeling better. I know you're not well, yet, but a little relief goes a long way. Be sure you get plenty of rest today. After a long day, & the drive, also, you may not feel so good later today. That's when things tend to hit me. I think I've made it through a good day....then later, I go to paying for it.

I hope my Remicade isn't wearing off already. I've been doing really well. They increased the dosage & I could tell a big difference. Yesterday, though, I went into town to run some errands. After going to a couple of stores & waiting in long lines, my arms went to hurting with the weight of a few items...then my legs & back. My feet hurt anyway, but were swelling. I was trembling pretty bad. By the time I got home....I was a mess. I had to grill burgers for a few people here working on the house. (glad to have the help), & my 4 year granddaughter was here. (very sweet child....bad timing) I'm afraid I was too ill at times. I finally just laid down after all was taken care of. Let the 4 yr old do whatever (what could she mess up in a burnt house!). Maybe it was just a bad day...I hope so. Last treatment didn't last long enough, though, & it was really rough waiting to go again. I still have 3 weeks to go. The dr increased dosage & moved treatments to 7 weeks from 8, hoping they would last longer. Wanted to move to 6, but my veins are tiny (smaller than the cathedar), so trying this first. Anyway, woke up very early....it's 5:30am now.....been up awhile.

You two ladies seem to have such a wonderful friendship and support going on here. I would love to be your friends also. I have diabetes and had a heart attack alittle over a year ago. I will be 50 on my birthday, so there is not to much age differance between us. Would love to

So far, there's Silk Lumina....Lost her brother recently to cancer...& has health problems we're concerned about. She's having a dye test run Tuesday.

There's Happy Canuk...who has fibromalgia. I think she's also on another thread. So am I....but this is the one I check first.

We've had a couple of others to drop by...every now & then...hope you stay!

I have back problems from car accident several yrs ago that put me on disability. Now, I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Pretty bad, I'm afraid. I take Methotrexate on Monday nights (form of chemo), then every 7 weeks, I go for Remicade treatments. (2 hr introvenous) I was like most people, & thought RA was a lot like the other forms of Arthritis....not true. Like my dr said...it's a disease that most people don't comprehend. I not only hurt all over a lot...but get very fatigued. That's what the Remicade mostly helps.

Of course, you can always go back & read the posts & catch up, when you get a chance. Silk started the thread with "grieving", then later changed it to "grateful".

Now...back to you. How long have you been a diabetic & what is your treatment? Also, how is your heart doing now? I sure hope you are doing better these days. Sounds like you may not be able to exercise, unless it's walking. I can't exercise at all. So it's not easy. So far, though, I've lost 26 lbs since April 23rd. Even if you're not looking to lose weight....just to come in & talk is fine. It helps all of us!

Welcome Paula, it is nice to have a new friend. I also have fibromyalgia, depression and diabetes so things are not going so well for me right now.

I lost my mother in May of 2002 and my brother on July 1, 2003, my mom was 88 but my brother was only 54 years old, younger then I am. We were very close and I miss his so much.

The weather here has been rainy off and on all weekend so kind of a glum day.

Nothing much else to say today but I will probably be on later tonight.

Happy Canuck and Angel have been a great source of encouragment for me, I think you will enjoy them.
