Hysterectomy and Mastecomy scars
 

In 2005, I had a complete hysterectomy and then in 2006 had a double mastecomy thansk to breast cancer. Both surgeries left ugly scars (from hip to hip and from underarm to underarm) and I still feel self conscious about both scars. I am in the process of losing weight and getting healthier (which may take a long time); however, my biggest fear is that I will lose the weight and my "scars hidden by fat" will be even more visible and ugly, both to myself and my husband. Is anyone dealing with this also or have dealt with it? I would appreciate any input. thanks!
