Ally, sorry to hear about your Uncle...tell your Aunt to come on in! Wish things could've worked out for you son...probably would've been good for you and your ex!

Anagram...hope your hubby is not coming down with something. I know what you mean about company tiring you out. When I have the little kids for a weekend I have to take a couple of days off!

Anne...you never did tell us what you were doing on your part-time-job!!!

Candice, I had fried fish the other night, too...good but sooooo fattening!!! After you eat fish, does your pee smell like fish? I just hate that!

Mima...did your Dr. tell you WHY Atkin's is not good for people over 40? That's weird!

Had snow flurries here today. That hurts after being in the 70s. Hey Joanne...how long has it been since you had a good snow??? :D

Went to church with the kids today...Oldest grandson was baptized...couldn't miss that! Can't believe he will be 8 next month.

I have all the furniture from one bedroom in the garage and all the furniture from another bedroom in the livingroom and all the barstools etc. piled in the dinningroom and hubby is asleep on his mattresses in the middle of the livingroom floor (he tried my waterbed last night and didn't like it...said it was too warm!) I don't like sleeping with him anyway! :p I will have to next weekend though, or sleep downstairs on one of the couches, one! My water bed will have to be drained on Friday so he can take up my carpet on Saturday. They won't lay the new carpet until Monday and then he will (hopefully) fill my bed back up Monday night. So I'll be without it for at least 3 nights. (THREE NIGHTS WITHOUT SLEEP!) If you've never slept on one... it's like sleeping on a giant hot water bottle!

Well, the men are coming to lay the carpet and tile in half the house at 8 in the morning so I gotta go take my shower and get in the bed. My house looks like Humpty Dumpty...Like nothing will every be able to put it back together again!

Send us some pictures when you are done-our carpenter didn't show up Sat so my kitchen is still half done. It snowed last night after 2 weeks of beautiful weather-but it's April 1 tomorrow.Went to a train show yesterday-then out to eat-I had salmon on rice pilaf-yummy. We have a watre bed but it's a soft sider -doesn't need heat-but we had to drain the baffles underneath when I moved-pain!!!!Brad is going to work on a refr. at a farm where they kill animals to sell. I'm catching up on stuff.Be good everyone. Oh-Joannne- I saw the USS Truman on tv. But not the crew-only the reporter. Mima

Joanne D 03-31-2003 09:30 AM

Hey There

Meme- You are a funny girl!! I say snow in north Fl. almost 10-12 years ago. I didn't like to walk in it. I didn't want to fall. It has turned off cool here today. I guess it will only be for a couple days. It sounds like you are doing a major change in your house.
Ally -Teen age boys are hard . They think they are so grown up. Still to your guns.. Bring your aunt in.
Anagram- I sure hope this little set back with your hubby is short lived. I am not sure how I could handle small children around. We haven't had any for a long time.
Mima- The Truman is on the news often. We never see any crew either. I did see an interview with sone officers one time. Camera crews wouldn't go into the part of the ship where my G/son works. Most parts are off limits.
I belong to a Tops group now. I enjoy the meetings. I am making some vests for their convention. So I better get busy.
Bye for now...Joanne

Hello girls

Glad to hear that I am not the only one meeting relatives at funerals. This past year there have been many as all my aunts and uncles are mostly in their 90's now.

I plan to go to Tops. It meets in this neighbourhood, and I understand it is not as expensive as W.W.

I am having fibro fingers these days. Not getting much done.
Will try to get in here on a regular basis.

Love reading what you are all up to. I am trying to finish up some quilts that have been sitting for some time.

We are waiting for const. of addition to cottage at the lake.

Looking forward to summer.

Serenity

Hey There

Nice to hear from you Serenity. Tops is less expensive thanWw. . I am enjoying going there. Ofcourse I am gaining and losing the same 2 lbs alternating from week to week. I just haven't been able to stay away from the junk food. I have to break that habit. I try not buying it but my hubby will bring it in when I have finally got it all out of the house. And he doesn't need it either.
Bye.. Joanne

Have you ever gone to the mall wearing something that you think you look OK in and then pass a full length mirror and find out you look exceptionally fat? I did that today. Now how come I still look OK in my home mirror. I guess I am just fat at the mall!!!!
Had to drive my vacuum cleaner to the repair shop....how will I live a week without it???

Mima 04-01-2003 07:44 AM

Hi guys-It's back to cooler weather for us but the snow is gone-more tonight-did some yoga yesterday and it felt good but I'm sore today-it's different than fibro but I am so stiff from fibro it actually feels better. Was thinking of going back to WW but I'll check to see if there is a TOPS around-hate to spend the money but I need the support-gota throw away the cheese curls today!!!!It's nice to have you back Serenity . Hope everything is fine Anagram. Ally-you can live without your vac for a week. Just close your eyes. Mima

Hi

Good morning. I hope that you all have yourselves a great day.

Candice - did the fried fish do you in? :lol

Meme - Are you renovating your whole house? That is the only way to go. I found that when I started I couldn't really stop, because the new reno made the rest of the house look yukky!! Pictures, we want pictures!

Ally - Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope your aunt will come join us. I don't care if I never see a vacuum cleaner. I could live just fine without it, as it is one of my worst enemies. It causes me great pain, usually. Hubby likes it though:lol:

Joanne - you are so good with your walking. I wish I could be like that. I bought one of those balls you roll around on, and have been doing a few stretches on it. Like you, I am not getting far with this darn eating. I keep losing and gaining the same couple of pounds over and over again. I really need to get with the program!!!!

Anagram - Hope your hubby will do fine with the procedure he needs to have. You have been coping with all this so well.

Serenity - Nice to see you back with us. Hope you feel better today.

Well, yesterday was the first day of my new job. I worked 4 hours, the time flew by and I really enjoyed it. It is in a ladies wear shop and it was really, really busy. The only problem was my feet. I am used to walking around in my bare feet and I had to wear shoes and boy were they ever sore. All in all, though, I had a good day. I am going back for more today:lol

MemeToo 04-01-2003 09:49 PM

Well...finally got hubby's room put back together...except for the curtains...still have to wash and iron them. Yes...doing the whole house. My tile in the kitchen was supposed to be grey with a little blue mixed in. Instead it is blue with a little grey mixed in! Why oh why did I start all this???

The guys brought my appliances this morning...stove, frig and dishwasher...and guess what? The frig wouldn't fit under my cabinets. I was so stressed out I got a headache! First in over a week! Hubby had to take the cabinets over the frig down and saw off 1/2 inch of the bottom. Thank goodness there was a 1/2 inch hanging down below the doors to saw off!!! It fits and looks fine now.

I've had a stomach ache for several weeks because of those gold pills I've been taking...I did'nt take one this morning. I would rather have the arthritis pain as to have this stomach pain and this horendous taste in my mouth. Everything tastes like rust. I can't get an appointment with my reumatolotist until May 20.

There is no way I'm going to be ready for the rest of the carpet by next Monday. Have to have 3 more closets completely cleaned out, my desk (which is a huge moster that takes up one whole corner of my room) my water bed taken down, living room and dining room painted, all the baseboards taken up and the carpet taken up in the living room, dining room and my bedroom.

HELP!!!

Candicej 04-02-2003 06:52 AM

This computer sucks!

Meme..nevered noticed my pee smelling like fish...now asparagus makes it stink!

Older son broke up with his girl kinda :D Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

Ally....I hope I don't get two back again at the same time! That was some of the reasons he wanted to come home too! Nice that they want to I guess:) Get your sweeper fixed?? Send me your Mirror too!

Happy...I am at goal but I went under goal and my clothes fit better then and I gained about 6 back from Christmas baking and it won't go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is all I can do to maintain where I am now but it is still goal...I just feel better a few pounds lighter! Maybe when it is warmer out and I am gardening again.

Hi Joanne, Mima, annagram and serenity:wave:

Mima 04-02-2003 06:54 AM

Wow, Meme!I'm waiting for Brad to finish watching the war so we can do our Scripture reading and EAT! Found a TOPS meeting close by. Wonder if that will motivate me. I feel depressed cuz the weather is wintry again. Going for a walk with Auntie today-that will cheer me up=I was cleaning yesterday so I'm achy and stuffy but I'm really making headway in the attic-Quite an accomplishment it will be. Enjoy your job Anne. Can't wait to see your house Meme-it was already pretty. By the way=I had blue tile and I loved it-Funny thing is Brad had started to do his kitchen way before we started going out and it;s blue and white-it's almost done but the carpenter keeps NOT showing up.He has a real job besides-Bye for now. Mima Have a great day everyone!

anagram 04-02-2003 08:41 AM

A quick good morning to all - supposed to be nice here today. I'm forcing an amaryllis in my kitchen that should be blooming for Easter and I've forced a cheerful bouquet of forsythia that's brightening my mantle. Got tired of waiting for spring!

I'm in plateau city but won't shake things up again until after dh's trip to hospital next week. Enough on this old mind is enough. Today I'm going to SING!
