Fibromyalgia and weight loss surgery?
 

Hi, I am a candidate for the roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery and a question was raised as to particular complications regarding this kind of surgery and fibromyalgia (I also have fibromyalgia). Other than the obvious "any major stressor to the body may trigger flares", is there any info out there regarding the mood swings accompanying this surgery and whether it is more severe/how severe for a fibro patient? Also, is there any specific info in general regarding gastric bypass surgery and fibromyalgia?
