Anyone with Polycystic Kidney Disease?
 

Hi group! I noticed there's a large group of women with polycystic ovaries on this board ... my particular issue is polycystic kidneys, and I thought I'd see if anyone else has this problem.

I was diagnosed with PKD 12 years ago (wow, that's so LONG ... doesn't seem that long ago ...) when I was only 20 yrs old. I've struggled with high blood pressure since I was 13 ... which is apparently a common side effect of PKD.

My weight is so out of control. I'm trying desparately now to make a change in my lifestyle so that I can lose the excess weight ... but it's such an uphill battle!

Does anyone else have PKD and is it hard for you to lose weight also?

I just wanted to say that I have never heard of this. I do have PCOS. I hope there is someone that has ant answer for you. Have you tried looking it up on the internet?

If you're still on 3fatchicks and have found a solution to your PKD and weight gain please let me know. I have PKD and I am continuously gaining weight no matter what I do or how hard I try. I am exhausted and disgusted.

If you get this please respond and let me know if you found an answer.
