I have been trying my best to steer clear of junk food but have also given in quite a few times to cookies, etc during my pregnancy. Is that going to contribute to me getting this form of diabetes? How serious is it? Please help me with your helpful advice. Thanks a lot.

Hi Eva

%50 of women diagnosed with gestational diabetes, end up with type 2 within 20 years.

Making lifestyle changes after you give birth will really reduce your chances of getting it later on.

Gamerchick.....I am a new member here & just happened to read your post because I have diabetes also. Your symptoms sound like H Pylori and you may want to get tested for it. I had it & had the same exact symptoms.
They detected mine during a stomach biopsy, but they can check with a breath test or fecal. It can lead to stomach ulcers & even stomach cancer if left untreated. Hope it's not.......but sure sounds like it.

I'm diabetic also. I get reaaly bad pains when I eat sugar free candy. Also in July had my gallblader removed. The pain comes and goes when it last longer than 1/2 hour you'll know to go to er. Please check with your doctor.
