Free cortisol test
 
Anyone have this test done?

My dr. ordered this test for me today. It is a 24 hour urine test. I am hoping this will provide some answers to my weight problems. I've had my thyroid tested more times than I can remember and it always comes back OK. I am hoping that it is a cortisol problem. But, I am not sure what problems other than weight gain cortisol can cause so I am also scared of what the results could mean. I googled it and came up with pituitary gland problems and Cushing disease.

I am doing the test tomorrow and will finish Friday AM. As soon as I get the results, I will share them if anyone is interested.
